I love this. I'm up wayyyyy too early to prep for a busy weekend, but I still stopped to check this thread because it never fails to amaze me and make me smile.
Yaboi Zack isn't even that much of a gadfly. He's a dad. A nerdy, self-confessed OCD dad with multiple failed marriages who loves his kids but is kinda behind the times and a bit cringey. If he were on TV, he'd be the Sitcom Father, the one who tells rambling stories and doesn't realize the other characters are rolling their eyes at him. But because he's refusing to back down on his opinions, because he unapologetically says "I think this comic is dumb, and here's why," and because he deploys that vilest of weapons, Dad Humor, he is now Public Enemy #1 of an entire multimillion-dollar industry. And it's amazing.
There's plenty of ancillary CG spergs to mock. But at the end of the day, comics nerds being spergy is nothing new, while the lunatics who can't stand one coughy boi talking shit on the Internet keep one-upping themselves in new, wonderful, awful ways.
(Seriously, I'm starting to think that the reason these people hate him so much is some weird Oedipal transference shit. Their own dads didn't understand when they decided to live on hormones and Patreon, and now Internet Dad doesn't like their shitty comics.)

I'm honestly amazed they're even aware of him, can you imagine any other industry getting this upset because someone somewhere thinks your art is shit? I'm suprised none of them have sat their and thought "I've set up a twitter where I pretend to be spiderman to shitpost at some crusty old man from youtube who doesnt like my comic, why arnt I working on a comic and what the fuck am I doing with my life?"

Frankly this is perfect. I can't stop thinking about the classic duck season / rabbit season but with Zach and Mags. The latest being: 'Trans issues' FIRE...
That's the best part, if they simply ignored him then he would have 25k subs and NO influence. But they can't stay away, since they kept Streisand-ing him and telling people to stay away from the slow motion train wreck they have only made him stronger. I'd wager most of his subs are only watching for the dumpster fire and laughing at the stupidity of it all.

Probably for the best. I wasn't looking forward to reading a Vision run where Chelsea retcons decades worth of continuity by having Vision and Scarlet Witch getting back together. But not before revealing that the whole clusterfuck about their magic-generated children was actually a lie, and all the shit with Mephisto and House of M was just to cover up how Scarlet Witch, like a strong empowered woman, drowned all her kids in the tub.
Though I wouldn't be surprised if even after wasting 2 years to squeeze out 4 issues, Marvel gives her a brand new A-lister to ruin.

It wasn’t even a Vision story. It was his daughter Viv. And she described it as important.
Think of how bad it must have been for Marvel to cancel a 6-issue series with 4 issues done without releasing a single one.
I want to know what she wrote because it had to be maximum cringe for Marvel to dump it into the garbage consider it was mostly done and starring a z-list character.

Alrighty, I've been following Comicsgate for a while and seeing how fucked up the industry is and the poor quality of modern Marvel, I don't blame them for being so pissed off.
That being said, I have an encounter with someone who was anti-comicsgate. He claims EVS sent his fans after a widow (not knowing though) and told his fans to harass her until he realised she was the widow of a dead comics pro whom they believed would be pro comicsgate. EVS then had to hide all info of this from his channel.
Does anyone KNOW what this incident was? I adore EVS but I want to know if this guy was speaking out of his ass or being one sided as fuck. And yes, he's a comics fanboy. And yes he denies that there are issues with the industry which Comicsgate seeks to address. And he also defended the guy who sent his ass to EVS (Wasn't it?) by saying "Comicsgate made him do it! It was fucked up but who cares they deserved it!"

Some of them might share opinions with the writers causing problems, some might more be into adaptations or felt "comics had a good run" so they don't really care if Marvel implodes as they already had their enjoyment, and others might just be paranoid as they desire stability which clearly is not on the menu anymore.
Usually one of those three and it's sad.

It was Darwyn Cooke's widow, she basically said he would have thought Comicsgaters were a bunch of manbabbies and morons in response to some douche CGer saying he would have been one of them, and EVS told people to quit harassing her.
