If that's the case, I feel bad for the poor person having to deal with her whining and raging about wanting SSI while having no actual need for it. No person should have to deal with some entitled child wanting 'free' money. I can't help but wonder what will happen when her parents pass though. What will Steph do/be able to do when they're gone? Live off whatever inheritance she can get or try to fake their still alive to keep getting their retirement checks?

After rereading the post, I do think she is talking about the case manager as the one who isn't doing anything rather than the therapist. You would think someone who has "published" several books would be a better writer.

She would have to grow up. I think one of either two things will happen.
1.) She inherits their house but either loses it because she can’t keep up with the bills with no job, or invites a bunch of people from tumblr to come live in her house hoping to have them come take care of her... but they’re equally as re.tarded so they’re all wasting away until Steph decides to get new roomies and kicks the other ones out for being “toxic” and “abusive” by not catering to her every whim.
OR
2.) She inherits the house, grows up, gets a job, and drops the bullshit tumblr activism. Sometimes it really just takes a traumatic event like that to change a person and tell them to man the fuck up and take responsibility for themselves.
I sincerely hope it would be the latter, but I’m betting it’s more likely it would be the former.

You can’t get SSDI for munchausens as far as I’m aware.
Maybe she IS acting her age for once... older people DO have a tendency to blame others for shit that’s their own fault after all...

Steph strikes me as the sort of person who thinks that because she's going to therapy she's already done all the work .Therapy is like taking a class-- you have homework, you have skills to improve on. You can't just go, talk about your feelings for an hour, and leave. Improvement is on the shoulders of the person going to therapy.
Steph would rather start petty internet fights with strangers to feel angry about something that doesn't matter and doesn't have consequences. Fighting with a 17 year old online is safer than fighting with her parents who might make her get a job or move out.

-IF- she gets approved, she’ll get upset and curse the cat when it doesn’t do everything she wanted on her terms. Or she’ll inevitably get bored of it and make her parents do all the care. The cat will then bond with her parents or start resenting the whole situation entirely. Being Steph, she’ll leave the door or window open and Buddy will walk out on her. If the cat really hates her and the family it will escape one way or another because someone will slip up eventually. Call me optimistic, but if an animal hates who’s near them and they’re given an opportunity to run, they’ll take it.oh no she's gonna get buddy

Yeah it's not like she's going to do anything to the cat. If anything she's going to be like one of those old ladies who makes their pet wear stupid clothing. Her parents are going to take care of the cat anyway

I worry that the cat's going to ingest something toxic that she's using in one of her "spells", so many plants and stuff are deadly to cats and Steph here doesn't seem the type to research that stuff.
