I think Jim thought it was Sargon himself who had the folder, which is extremely forgiveable given its on Sargon's channel, with him presumably streaming it, I'm not sure why they're streaming from someone else's desktop

As a side note it's debatable how relevant UKIP even are, post brexit they fucking tanked last election at this stage they're pretty fringe to the point they don't have a seat in the commons and are struggling against national 'wanker' parties for regional/local votes. ironically the only place they're particularly prominent is the EU which well....

Come to think on it, they're not looking that good compared the hippy dippy green party who have on seat in parliament and is 80 up on them in local council.
Which might explain why Sargon got to sit on the big boy table considering they're most likely going to be a fringe group when we actually leave. Since they'll either be irrelevant or reviled depending on how it goes.

That makes it all the more baffling that Sargon touts his membership as if it's a sign of his importance. They didn't sign him aboard because he's so big, they did it because they're just small enough to take notice of him. I don't think it's a slight against him for taking pride in being involved directly in politics for the first time in his life. O think his juvenile behavior regarding Jim's mockery stems from that very pride. He's excited to finally be a figurehead of a politcal movement and any remark that denigrates his "achievements" are taken more personally because of how important it is to him.

Listen to his snide dismissals of Jim and other people he happens to dislike. It's never "I disagree", it's always "their content sucks and I don't watch it because they suck and I'm more important them". It always sounds like he's trying to convince himself more than anything else. With his rise in popularity on the internet, he's become obsessed with being percieved as an authority figure and an intellectual, because that's what a fair amount of his viewer base see him as. From that obsession comes insecurity, which rears it's head whenever Jim or anyone else pokes fun at him.

Honestly, I'd love to join in at mocking the dude but it's less humorous and more pitiful. All Carl has to do is ignore the mockery and focus on his career. That's alledgedly where his passion is at the moment, so why does he constantly need to get into this shit with Jimbo? I also love how he attempts to shittalk TL;DR, the guy who was one of the first to break away from constant response videos and was one of the first to opt out of the "Skeptic" community when he saw what direction it was heading in. Basically, he broke away from the shit that Sargon is currently engaging in (while also claiming to be above it), yet Carl still sees himself as the mature intellectual politician thumbing his nose down at these lowly "youtubers".

Disagree. By that logic he should've wiped the floor with all of the dickriders who latched onto his form of content, e.g. your Ralphs, your Wildsmiles, Warskis, etc. The only thing this episode shows is Jim's not applying his precious principles uniformly.

Jim has repeatedly stated he stopped working because of some unspecified illness. The only thing separating him from Spoonie in this regard is the quantity and description of said ailments.

I think you're right that people here probably give Jim a pass because they like him, but really there isn't much that can be done about that. The majority of the posts I've seen don't seem to be outright defending Jim so much as mocking Carl though. This is his thread after all, so really it's supposed to be primarily focused on his side of things.

Personally, I still don't dislike Carl, don't think that he's a bad person, and don't have any wish to see him fail. And honestly, I don't quite understand why so many people here seem to hate him with such a passion. However, he's acting so butthurt right now that it's not hard to see why everyone is preoccupied with mocking him for it. He said during the TL;DR video that Jim has been begging for his attention for months. He's probably right, but the fact that he knows this should tell him not to give in. To be clear, I do agree with you that Jim is an asshole and deserves to be called out more, though I'm not sure how relevant that is in the context of this thread.

You're also right that Carl is a moron if he thought that he had any chance of "winning" this as well. Most of his own fanbase probably don't give a shit about any of this e-drama, and most of the people that do engage in this type of drama like or are at least sympathetic to Jim. They're unlikely to give him credit for anything he says even if it is valid. Hopefully the 1.2k subs he lost so far send him the message and he makes the sensible decision of ending this shit, leaving it behind, and never doing anything like this again.
