A world where a company is retarded enough to rely on the Wii U for sales. Seriously how fucking stupid is that? At least the Korra game is smart enough to try and get on bigger, more profitable consoles. There's also the whole "It's just video games, relax" factor but that logic seems to get steam rolled by both sides.

Because when Platinum Games went around trying to get help making Bayo 2, Sony and Mircosoft wanted nothing to do with it, and Nintendo got with Platinum to help make the game a reality.

Then don't make the game. If it's not a viable IP there's no point in forcing it to be a thing. I'll admit to being wrong if this sells Wii U consoles or breaks sales records or something. But if the two big next gen (or is it current gen? Whatever it's considered) consoles don't want the franchise then you may just have to cut your losses. Whatever what's done is done and if Platinum Games can release it on the Wii U without losing money then more power to them.

Clover put out things like Okami and Viewtiful Joe, which were successful - as in, they turned a profit - but never OMGWTF-level successful - as in, Call of Duty profit. This wasn't enough for Capcom's marketing departments, and Capcom shut it down the bulk of Clover specifically because its other development teams were out-selling it, even though Clover was returning positive investments overall. Capcom intended to roll Clover's developers into its other dev teams (mostly the ones behind the Resident Evil series), and Clover's staff responded with a mass rage-quit, possibly because they saw where this was going (Capcom's complete nose-dive last year, mostly).

Now what's stupid about Dobson's bitching about the game not coming to WiiU is that Platinum purportedly offered a port of the game - and Nintendo declined, requesting Platinum instead make a standalone Korra game for 3DS instead. That's the reason WiiU owners aren't getting a Korra game this go-round, not because Platinum doesn't feel like it or because they want to taunt Dobson with beautiful sexually-confident witches.
Though if I was Platinum, I'd do it anyway because fuck Dobson.

On that note, I decided the other day, "what the hell" and read through Dobson's classic SYAC. It was interesting to see someone go from being a sort of bitter guy who never got over being picked on in the playground (among many other things) to being a full blown rageaholic who takes offense with everything and everyone. All in the span of a few years.
I will give Dobson this, when he whines on twitter about having lost all passion for art or being bitter about the whole thing--I believe him.

It really wouldn't surprise me if Dobby wasn't actually a gamer. The only times he's ever really mentioned games is either to condemn how a female character looks (Bayonetta) or to mention how great a game Other M is. And considering he's stated that he just likes to try and piss people off (assuming he's not just saying that to try and save face from being called out on his stupidity) I just wouldn't be surprised if Dobs never really picked up a controller and only knows about videogames from what he's read.
