Okay then. Am I doing it wrong if I tolerated their text wall and can't be bother to get mad? In a way, this site is a good example of "tolerating the intolerant" as we realize they have a great habit of saying the dumbest shit. Why do people always think that's a paradox when we're talking about speech instead of violent criminals? Plus these guys should probably not get involved when there is VAST irony in them being a Silver/Bronze age comic podcast.

All right, let's break down this brainfart.

First of all, let's note the complete mischaracterization of what CG is (a group of comics spergs that want comics to fucking stop sucking, and are clearly willing to pay to make that happen), complete incapacity to accept any wrongdoing on the part of this idiot's associates ("MARSHA STAGG IS BEING ATTACKED!!" he declares with alacrity, as Stagg fucking used Cooke's death to virtue signal), and outright lies about what CG's goals are (that they hate women/minorities/LGBTQABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPWTFBBQ people, when all of those have been in comics with zero fucks given for fucking decades). He then goes full Trump derangement syndrome and somehow blames Trump for this.

But look at what his response is: "Do not listen to anyone who disagrees with my side. Block anyone who disagrees with my narrative." To coin a CWC-ism, "IGNORE ALL GOOGLE RESULTS!"

Recognize this tactic for what it is: A complete inability to defend one's own position. His belief is so fragile that he quite literally cannot abide any other point of view because it would point out the logical holes. He won't even try to win neutrals over to his side because he views them all as potential threats.

Pretty weird, I just watched one of Lindybeige's tank videos this evening without knowing anything about this Kickstarter. I didn't know he was this based... Looks like I've got another project to support.

I found an interesting livestream by Clownfish TV. For those who don't know they're Disney fans, both used to work for Disney, and also were in the Comic Industry. They're also left-leaning but were excommunicated for being hetero, having children, and being border-line normies. A while back they called Disney attempting to make the Fox deal and were mocked for it by "industry insiders." Later, they become personas non grata for suggesting that the comic book industry is in trouble.

Anyhow, they talk about Bob Iger, Disney, Star Wars, and how Marvel Comics may be in trouble. Basically, due to the cost of setting up a streaming service (which will be looking to undercut Netflix; it could include a package with ESPN), the Fox Deal, and the new theme park renovations, they'll be looking to trim the fat. With Marvel Comics underperforming, it's plausible it'll be downsized and/or outsourced. They point out that Disney in the past has cut better performing divisions than Marvel Comics and that at this point it's more of a liability than an asset.

If Marvel Comics gets nuked, how many of these pros could find work? Bet most of them will end up on the tugboat if they're not relying on it already.

Captain Marvel won't be as good as Wonder Woman. I don't know how it'll compare to Catwoman. Personally, I'd be more excited for a movie about Black Widow. That would be an interesting film.

Though Captain Marvel is the first female-led MCU character.

I know i claimed they would do this, but this has to be clickbait. At least it's possible normies wouldn't know that Blade is a Marvel superhero character or hadn't seen other lesser known black superhero movies before claiming stuff about Black Panther. There's also the 14 years between Blade 3 and Black Panther, Wonder Woman was out last year, hugely acclaimed and popular with general audiences.

FWIW, this comic started as a joke. A few months ago the pros decided to call CG indigogos scams / cash grabs, so this comic was born in response. Their whole marketing pitch has been: give us money and we won't send you a book, this is a scam. After fans said they would buy it they actually made a story and got CG artist Tim Lim to do the art.

The so-called pros should be fucking embarrassed. Their "professional" garbage gets pulped after Marvel over-ships it and then none of it sells. Meanwhile, CGers make throwaway jokes and those get funded.

I'm still salty over Lindybeige going full retard over that ludicrus "I'ts reasonable to call the MG42 a Spandau cause some illiterate Tommys did so 60 years ago, and it's a worse weapon than the Bren since Germany lost WW2" episode. And then doubling down and insulting his audience like an SJW over people calling him out on it.

I might forgive him for that lolcow-moment if he keeps stuff like this up though.
