Pedophiles often claim that the children wanted it or actively pursued it, this is often the excuse they come up with after they get caught. They tend to paint themselves as harmless victims. Like "he was just BEGGING for it and I didn't say no".

They usually do this because a lot of pedophiles actually dislike pedophilia or attempt to deny their attraction. They feel shame over who they are so they have to justify it to themselves why they did it. In these cases they make up excuses like "well he was old for his age" or "he wanted it". When in reality we know that children can't legally consent and that a person who has sex with one is a predator in all circumstances.

It's also because many of them are unable to accurately read the body language of kids and interpret it the same way they would interpret adult body language. A lot of them don't realize they are making it up because their brains are so fucked. Obviously this is not an excuse--they still know logically that kids cannot consent. Theyre just also idiots who have no self control and only care about what they want. Theres interesting stuff out there on neurology of pedophiles.

i wonder if bestiality people are the same way, but i don't have access to any research papers through jstor or anything anymore. we know that both dogfuckers and pedos lack empathy for their victim and enjoy being in control, i just don't think people care as much about looking at dogfucker brains
