Slight powerlevel but I'm visiting an older relative while I got the time. +70 years old, CNN watcher. Kind of stunned hearing the unironic statements of "He protested too much! Why did he get emotional! It's because there's something to the allegations!"

I just cannot comprehend how lightly you should apparently take being slandered and smeared a rapist. How apparently it shouldn't affect you at all?

Pretty much, it's like Brett said, they tried their hardest, they did everything they could and threw the kitchen sink at him but they met their worst nightmare; a man that refuses to back down, they were hoping he'd crumble like a house of cards and withdraw his name from the nomination but he decided to stay and fight, either they'd vote to approve him or vote against him but he wasn't going to let them try to bully and frighten him. At this point the worst enemy of the far left are people with actual spines that won't bend the knee when they start screeching because if they can't scream you into submission that's the majority of their playbook thrown out the window.
