So now cops are looking at manslaughter charges for every non-compliant weirdo they manhandle somehow dies because of their own poor health?

Lemme clue you in to something here. The chokehold isn't what killed him. Rasslin' with the po-lice did. Eric wasn't healthy enough for such vigorous endeavors and died because of it. The chokehold thing was just a "gotcha" for them not following policy (which is fair, the cop should face disciplinary measures for that) but is highly debatable that it was what did Eric in. Which is why the cop isn't in jail.
