I think the problem isn't "what are furries doing to fight against pedophiles/zoophiles/etc in the furry community." The problem is "what are the Big Name Furries doing to fight against pedophiles/zoophiles/etc in the furry community." There are probably individuals making stands all over the place, but because the people with the clout have been keeping out of it, there's no universal message to rally behind. Nevermind the apologists.

And there's the very line that underscores the entire problem - furries see taking a stand against pedophilia, zoophilia, beastiality, etc as drama. It's not a moral issue. No, it's drama.

I've seen a few people with clout (even one who deleted videos they did with Kero the Dogmongler himself) speak out against it, but even then a couple clout-y people made it about themselves like "oh I'm so betrayed, who do I trust now??" but no actual words about whether they give a shit about the actual situation.
I also think part of it is that there's so much Real Actual Harmful Shit that gets confused with Stupid Drama Bullshit that if you're PoPuFuR it all looks the same from your ivory luxury shag tower so shit that needs REAL LOOKING AT blows over just as fast as stuff that's just wildly exceptional SJW shit. Even then though I understand not wanting to be controversial, but if THIS IS CONTROVERSIAL I would like a one way ticket to Mars please.
I keep hoping it'll come back around and more people will sweepingly be like UH NOT COOL but day after day the community gets farther from God's light.

It won't, because this is what furries are.
They've all got the same traits in common. Most of them were all the weird creepy kid who was autistic, smelled etc, they were nearly all bullied within an inch of their lives and as a result of being so deeply introverted they've never been grounded in societal norms. The lack of ability to grasp basic human behavior is why they do this shit.

Yes, exactly! And granted that the popular artis aren’t really scamming anyone (usually...), the fact is that they prey off of furries fetishes, mild ones or not, and to get involved on any of this might disrupt their gravy train.
I suspect too that the defacto fandom leadership - popufurs, artists and con heads - fear that if there’s any concerted effort to ‘do something’ about zoosadists and zoophiles, it will start the dominoes falling and next it’ll be the skeevy cyberyiff roleplayers, then the adult art shows at the cons, then artists who draw actual animal genitals on the characters, and so on. Unlikely, but I’ve heard furries express fears like that and I’m sure they fear anything that might mean someone will take away their fun.

I was checking up on the Kero drama and found this exchange.
A furry got triggered by that and wrote an angry response, demanding to know "what did we furries ever do to you" and claims all furries do is "get in a suit, go have fun, be funny, give people hugs, and do other family friendly things."
The OP mocks the furry for claiming it is "family friendly" and references Kero, the furry doesn't understand and tries to say it's all to make people laugh. The OP cuts to the chase: "you guys take it sexually too, admit it already lmao." The furry responds that he is "not that big into Murr suits" (so he is at least somewhat into it...) and says he is going to buy a "SFW fursuit" that is "family and children friendly."
Unsurprisingly, the "family friendly" furry's timeline is full of porn.
