Not sure how related this might be to CG, but even in movies Spider-Gwen is unpopular.

She got destroyed compared to Peni Parker (new daughter-waifu) in the 'Spider Man into the Spider-Verse' animated movie.

The character even got a terrible redesign, featuring the mental illness haircut:

When will they finally put this character to rest? They've shoehorned her into anything they can, tv, movies, comics, toys, posters, school supplies and still the interest in the character isn't strong. I will give it credit, she did break the 12-13 issue cap most of the SJW replacement heroes couldn't break through, but i get the feeling it was for the same reason Squirrel Girl also broke through.

Trailer for those that haven't seen it:

Yep. It was in the mid 2000s run of Justice League. The best part? In the last panel, Vixen is telling him, "You absolutely can't", even though the previous panel has no dialogue. However, due to a printing or editor error, what he was supposed to be saying was "So, can I use the n-word now?"

It looks like a joking nod to the kind of blaxploitation films of the '70s where stuff like this was done straight.

She COULD be interesting... (and her costume is rad)

If they kept her in her own world and showed us an alt comic line of what might have happened in this different world. I mean just imagine if they redid the Clone Saga with her as the main character this time with a clone Peter Parker tormenting her. That I find more interesting than all her repeated adventures in the same ole same ole.

It's like these people make something people like, but then can't figure out the writing BASICS of why people like those things.

Is that like a female version of the gundam riding Japanese Spiderman?

Because I'd welcome it if it is.

@damian EVS will be debating Jason Yungbluth tonight on Rekieta's YouTube channel, might be good for some laughs / info for your thread.
Its gonna be entertaining to see him screech in real time.

EDIT:
Lawyer Supreme, Jamal Igle, talking about the entertainment industry doesn't need to listen to anyone and how he should be able to shit his pants because the Game of Thrones guy is also a "super-lefty".

"Everything is inherently political" is the dumbest shit people keep repeating.
Ethan made a response to this one, I love the first 1-1/2 minutes:

I imagine most of what Yungbluth is going to be going on is how did bring Cap, Iron Man, and Thor and so people should shut up. That's actually one of the best points I've seen from him and some CG talking point do sound like they're still in limbo. However he then goes off into things like "it was a brief period" despite being years and some like Cap and Thor already were gone for most of the 2000s before getting replaced in the early 2010s.

Iron Sites is his black and white graphic novel, that is just starting to ship. The early backers got theres the rest will be in peoples hands this month.

Jawbreakers is the better known one. It's the full color super hero one. I think he is finalizing inspection of the final proofs to go to the printers so that will likely be shipping later this year.
Well I've read Chosin and damn he is a good writer in that.
But Jawbreakers synopsis feels like just.
The Boys but without the cynism of Ennis.
I hope it is well written though since the premise is kind of something of Ennis but idk if it will not take it as serious as Ennis did or feel too tryhardish.
Praying it's the first and proves me wrong

Yellow fever strikes again

Whoa, he just threw the F-word a couple of times (the OTHER one).

Edit: "You got a blue hair up your ass!"

And here I thought she was reacting to him calling the duration of his powers "Colored People Time" and then looking pleased with himself about it...

That and it seens like like every depiction of Spider Gwen can’t resist making her come off as really bitchy, like they’re trying to give her classic Spidey snark but forget that what made it work for Spider-Man was that his snark was a persona that gave him more freedom compared to being more reserved as Peter Parker and there was some acknowledgement by the story that it also meant he could get on people’s nerves very quickly. Gwen however has none of those things so she just comes off as unintentionally arrogant, meaning audiences and readers get put off when it becomes clear you’re supposed to like/relate to her.

Its not as far as i can tell, it's this one (minus the "kawaai" artstyle):

i don't get this Spider Geddon. Is it a sequel to Spiderverse? like an actual sequel and not some Secret wars spin off?

that's hilarious. Sucks that Noir is second to last. He's such a engaging character, more so than spidergwen. Not that shes a bad character, shes interesting in her own right but her stories are really bad. like seriously? Black female Captian America?

Spider Gwen's costume could of been a lot worse. Dan Slott wanted her to wear her death of Gwen Stacy green coat and just wear a spiderman mask. It is unknown if the man was joking or not.
