1)Grit your teeth, analyse what happened , learn from it and prepare for the next day. Get of the net andinvolved in politics. Since this is a 2 for 1 thread, I'm gonna talk about Felicia day a bit now.
The guild was pretty alright, but the amount of hype she got from doing that was insane. Youtube used her as her cover image on the youtube app when you'd connect with chromcast and a ton of companies started trying to shove this "Queen of the Nerds" branding down everyones throat. But she got IRL roles on tons of shows.

I'm not gonna make it seem like she's starving for work. She seems to have re occurring roles in voice acting and Supernatuaral seems to brought back her character for 2 episodes after 3 years.
But there are some signs that Felicia peaked and is on the downward trend
She stopped doing Producing, meaning she isn't bankrolling peoples projects anymore. Given the nature where she is I don't think she stopped flinging money at people because she realized how dumb it was, she most likely isn't making the fist fulls of money she was. No shame in that though, looking at the projects she "produced" I wouldn't want to waste money funding that dogshit in order to make "connections."

Voice Actors don't make a bunch of cash (it's why you see the same handfull of actors doing most of the big roles to make endsmeet). I'm sure she is not suffering (especially with her elderly sugar daddy) but this is a girl who had roles on shit tons of shows (all of which have syndication runs and nice residual checks). Now the best she can do is get an indie movie.

What is causing the downward trend? You could blame Gamer Gay, but that was in 2014 and she had solid work for 2 years after that shit storm. Her politics? Meh. She seems to not sperg like Wheaton so I doubt normies know or pay attention. Is it cause nerd culture fad is dying and people are sick of it? Probably has a bit to do with that but this is also a girl who can did non-nerd acting before.

I think Felicia Day's downward trend is the funniest reason of all, she shilled herself and her brand too much. People got tired of always seeing the same flat chested "le Queen of the Nerds XD" shoe horned into everything. People got sick of seeing her in every nerd related show/podcast. People got sick of her being the go to casting for "hot" nerd girl. People got sick of her multiple panels and podcast appearances as some sort of nerd expert because she played WoW and wrote a mini show around it. People got sick of her being touted as this sexy nerd when she has the body of a 12 year old boy.
