correct me if i'm completely off-base, but this reads like... a single troll (or maybe a couple) just trying to squeeze some laughs pretending to be Foxler and abusing Twitch alerts. (throwaway Twitch accounts can be verified with temporary email accounts (10minutemail etc); they are VERY easy to make.)

it looks like an isolated event, which isn't definitively attached to any group, that's being used to capitalize on self-victimization e-points. anyone feel similarly?

verified accounts can activate follower alerts AND bit alerts without giving anyone any money.

bit alerts, depending on the bit threshold, allow you to display a message on stream, similar to donation alerts. the person(s) who harassed him likely didn't know this was a thing (otherwise we'd see the screenshots).

both require the streamer to have follower alerts enabled, and bit alerts to be set at 100 or below. very common for small streamers (<100 viewers). you can, for example, very quickly make 5 accounts called "boozy_is_a_huge_noob_xd_1/2/3/4/5" and keep it going for a pretty long time. usually, small streamers are still new to utilizing their alerts and will struggle with disabling them.

once disabled, it stops the trolling immediately. i've definitely seen much worse than what happened with Boozy.

also, this is a little tinfoil-y, but it could also be manufactured drama for the sake of attention. it's so low-effort that it's raising some red flags for me, honestly.

You'd most likely be able to tell if those notifications had specific timestamps depending on if there's a reasonable amount of time in between for someone to make and switch between accounts. I don't use Twitch so I don't know if these notifications are saved/publicly visible in the chatlogs or not, or if they even have more specific timestamps.

you can be on multiple accounts at once. incognito + different browsers means you could have, easily, 8 or more at the same time. the timestamps in that tweet show the accounts following over a 2 hour period. you can *very* easily make 8 different accounts in less than 30 minutes, so i'm not convinced this is a big group of people, or even a "group" at all (if you coordinated 10 people, you could dump 100 new accounts in under an hour. easy.)

i'm looking into the VOD now; found the VOD timestamp, so i'll cut it down so we can all see how it happened live. i'm not 100% sure if banned user's messages show up in the VOD's logs on Twitch, and Boozy is sadly too irrelevant for something like overrustle logs (so this is the only record available). but they will show up on stream.

it should absolutely be noted that this event is being milked for $$victimbux$$. i'll try to outline the change in his donation marker.

sorry if this is derailing the thread btw, but i'm not sure altfurry is involved in this latest bit. at least, if they are, not more than one or two of them.

On one hand they're really that retarded and tryhard, on other hand they're very impotent and unsympathetic so they're perfect punching bags to offload all blame on.

Some random third party troll exploiting a conflict is always an option. Not sure about victimbux angle though, boozy seems rather well off and it's a bit futile for leftist furries to false flag altfurry with how already unpopular they are.

Either way Boozy's an idiot and he's lucky he was JUST trolled with twitch alerts. How many streamers have been swatted now? 20? More?

while swearing, and smoking, on camera, with kids in the room. Like what?

I dunno maybe I just have greater PC tendencies than I imagined but...also I'm sure I'm :late: on this but you're also bringing your kids onto a stream with furries.

he was probably excited to be getting raided, so that he could now publicly make the claim that he's being harassed by them, using the Twitch user "Boozy_Yiffs_His_Kids" as a justification for the implication that his children are being targeted
