Holy fuck, she's so full of SHIT.

The moment people start picking apart Better Help, she back the fuck out and acts like she had nothing to do with it.

"I had no idea GUYS!"

If she was too chicken shit to get in a slap fight with Foodie Blooby she definitely wouldn't with PDP.

One of her favorite things to do is claim she's educated on subjects. "Do your research on X, please." "Y'all need to learn about Y before judging." But as soon as she's presented with indisputable facts she backpedals hard and feigns innocence, or the old noncommittal fallback she used in this video, "it's not for everyone." That one basically means "it's not for me, and based on what you said it's not for you... I don't actually know who it's for, just people that aren't a part of this discussion I guess, but as long as I don't say I'm totally for or against it nobody can technically be mad at me without being pedantic."

ETA: TLDR she's a chickenshit motherfucker

Our gorl is on top of the world! She's famous y'all! Everything about her is now vindicated! And all this before she heard that one of her reaction tormentors has prostrated herself in front of her and is begging forgiveness. More vindication!

If you think she was insufferable before, now that she's got a big head she's gonna be...well, I don't have a word for it, but even more insufferable.

These recent developments ought to be good for another 20 pounds in celebratory dinners, since after all, it is her mental illness, not her, at fault, despite Better Help being debunked (yes, I realize this sentence makes no logical sense whatsoever. Sue her, not me)

She skipped any mention of her supposedly current 1500-calories-a-day diet with multiple weigh-ins per day. Who can blame her? This Pewdiepie stuff is freakin' exciting!! Hah! She sure showed all of us!

She was so damn salty about not being sponsored by BH in that diagnosis video, but alright Big AL.

Anyways, she's always boring and unwashed but I still find joy in taking screen shots, and then lately putting them thru faceapp.
As a female she looks like a deranged baby.

Is she actually depressed? Do anyone here know legit depressed people? I looked up symptoms of depression and none seem to relate to our gorl apart from having sleepless nights. But she admitted in this video that she has night binges so she probably sleeps in the day

From her "panic attack." video in late july, she claimed she takes Lexapro, which is used to treat depression and general anxiety disorder. From that same video, she told us that she went off meds on her own accord which is an especially stupid thing to do when it comes to SSRIs, because it will usually take 4-6 weeks for them to fully start working again. That mistake truly started the housebound saga that we're currently in. After that incident, her mania exploded out of control (a side effect of going off Lexapro), but at the same time, she started taking care of her hygiene even less, started staying in her bedroom more, and uploaded less often. Her videos became more boring than they already are.

@sperginity touched up well on why someone would be depressed in Amber's position, but a big one for me is her not taking care of herself in the most basic manner. Obvious the big elephant in the room is her weight, but she would rather risk killing her spouse in a car accident than buy a seatbelt extender (also, Becky is stoopid for driving so fast/at all when someone's not wearing a seatbelt in her car), she always go on these clothing hauls to fill the void in her soul, but can even be assed to own more than 1 pair of pants or bra, goes to sleep with her makeup on, washes her hair once at week, can't even take a shower/get hosed down once a day, doesn't clean her animal's litter boxes enough, can't even wipe her own ass, etc. etc. If she lived by herself, her room would most certainly be a mess too. It's just the general lack of care for herself which makes me believe she has depression or something similar.

I am also in the camp that she has mania (so she's bipolar). I feel like she has a couple of symptoms of it. I wrote about it (well, ctrl + v) it a while about, but here's the list of symptoms:

A manic episode is a mood state characterized by period of at least one week where an elevated, expansive, or unusually irritable mood exists. A person experiencing a manic episode is usually engaged in significant goal-directed activity beyond their normal activities. People describe a manic mood as feeling very euphoric, “on top of the world,” and being able to do or accomplish anything. The feeling is like extreme optimism — but on steroids.

Sometimes the manic mood is more irritable than it is elevated, especially if the person’s wishes are curtailed or denied altogether. Often a person in the midst of mania will engage in multiple projects at the same time, with little premeditation or thought going into them, and finishing none of them. They may work on these projects at all hours of the day, with little regard for sleep or rest.

A person’s change in mood is typically associated with manic symptoms that should be observable by others (e.g., friends or relatives of the individual) and must be uncharacteristic of the individual’s usual state or behavior. In other words, they’re acting in a way that isn’t typical of themselves, and other people recognize it.

The manic feelings the person experiences should be severe enough to cause difficulty or impairment in their ability to function at work, with friends or family, at school, or other important areas in their life. Symptoms also cannot be the result of substance use or abuse (e.g., alcohol, drugs, medications) or caused by a general medical condition.

Specific Symptoms of a Manic Episode
In order for a manic episode to be diagnosed, three (3) or more of the following symptoms must be present:

  • Inflated self-esteem or grandiosity
  • Decreased need for sleep (e.g., one feels rested after only 3 hours of sleep)
  • More talkative than usual or pressure to keep talking
  • Flight of ideas or subjective experience that thoughts are racing
  • Attention is easily drawn to unimportant or irrelevant items
  • Increase in goal-directed activity (either socially, at work or school; or sexually) or psychomotor agitation
  • Excessive involvement in pleasurable activities that have a high potential for painful consequences (e.g., engaging in unrestrained buying sprees, sexual indiscretions, or foolish business investments)
Inflated self-esteem is typically present, ranging from uncritical self-confidence to marked grandiosity, and may reach delusional proportions. Individuals may give advice on matters about which they have no special knowledge (e.g., how to run the United Nations). Despite lack of any particular experience or talent, the individual may embark on writing a novel or composing a symphony or seek publicity for some impractical invention. Grandiose delusions are common (e.g., having a special relationship to God or to some public figure from the political, religious, or entertainment world).

Almost invariably, there is a decreased need for sleep. The person usually awakens several hours earlier than usual, feeling full of energy. When the sleep disturbance is severe, the person may go for days without sleep and yet not feel tired.

Manic speech is typically pressured, loud, rapid, and difficult to interrupt. Individuals may talk nonstop, sometimes for hours on end, and without regard for others’ wishes to communicate. Speech is sometimes characterized by joking, punning, and amusing irrelevancies. The individual may become theatrical, with dramatic mannerisms and singing. Sounds rather than meaningful conceptual relationships may govern word choice (i.e., clanging). If the person’s mood is more irritable than expansive, speech may be marked by complaints, hostile comments, or angry tirades.

The individual’s thoughts may race, often at a rate faster than can be articulated. Some individuals with manic episodes report that this experience resembles watching two or three television programs simultaneously. Frequently there is flight of ideas evidenced by a nearly continuous flow of accelerated speech, with abrupt changes from one topic to another. For example, while talking about a potential business deal to sell computers, a salesperson may shift to discussing in minute detail the history of the computer chip, the industrial revolution, or applied mathematics. When flight of ideas is severe, speech may become disorganized and incoherent.

A person in a manic episode may easily lose attention. Distractibility is evidenced by an inability to screen out irrelevant external stimuli (e.g., the interviewer’s tie, background noises or conversations, or furnishings in the room). There may be a reduced ability to differentiate between thoughts that are germane to the topic and thoughts that are only slightly relevant or clearly irrelevant.

The increase in goal-directed activity often involves excessive planning of, and excessive participation in, multiple activities (e.g., sexual, occupational, political, religious). Increased sexual drive, fantasies, and behavior are often present. The person may simultaneously take on multiple new business ventures without regard for the apparent risks or the need to complete each venture satisfactorily. Almost invariably, there is increased sociability (e.g., renewing old acquaintances or calling friends or even strangers at all hours of the day or night), without regard to the intrusive, domineering, and demanding nature of these interactions. Individuals may also display psychomotor agitation or restlessness by pacing or by holding multiple conversations simultaneously (e.g., by telephone and in person at the same time). Some individuals write a torrent of letters on many different topics to friends, public figures, or the media.

Expansiveness, unwarranted optimism, grandiosity, and poor judgment often lead to an imprudent involvement in pleasurable activities such as buying sprees, reckless driving, foolish business investments, and sexual behavior unusual for the person, even though these activities are likely to have painful consequences. The individual may purchase many unneeded items (e.g., 20 pairs of shoes, expensive antiques) without the money to pay for them. Unusual sexual behavior may include infidelity or indiscriminate sexual encounters with strangers.

People who experience a manic episode are often diagnosed with a type of bipolar disorder.

Lol @ making herself into a victim of BetterHelp. She loves this, she can use it as cover for being caught lying that her therapist had diagnosed her. All those convoluted lies just so she can fake a mental illness and justify her continued overeating. I buy that the therapist wrote the words 'Binge Eating Disorder' at some point, but he never diagnosed her.

I for one am proud of Amberlynn. She admitted to learning more about BetterHelp and agreeing with PewdiePie about it being wrong for people looking to get professional help and a proper diagnosis. She has done her research and wants to be open and honest with y'all because y'all have been supporting and following her journey for nearly five years now.

Her weight loss journey of five years.

Anyway, so where's that weigh in?

I completely agree. Her mom is bipolar and it's a highly heritable disorder. It takes a lot of character to get treatment for something that makes her feel that euphoric, I'm not confident amberlynn would want to give mania up, even if it harms her friends.

SSRIs aren't first line of treatment for bipolar, because they can induce mania in some bipolar patients.

Amber would be happy to be diagnosed with anything, as long as she could blame it for voluntary weight gain. Agency is not something our gorl is interested in. Nothing can be victimlynn's fault.

Anticonvulsants are now being found to help with bipolar because they have less risks of making mania/depression worsen. They basically stabilize the intensity of moods without as heavy of side effects as something like lithium.

This being said, AL already seems to find any excuse not to take her Lexapro or see a doctor so she'd never try finding suitable alternatives. If she can say she's depressed/bipolar/BED/traumatized, then that's enough for her because it's enough of an excuse to never do anything about her weight.

Holy fuck, she's so full of SHIT.

The moment people start picking apart Better Help, she back the fuck out and acts like she had nothing to do with it.

"I had no idea GUYS!"

Probably a wise idea to not try to pick a fight with somebody more powerful than you though, Amber.

First good decision you've made in a while.

I’d kind of love to see that fight though.

There's two situations I can see the BH thing going down. I do think she actually did the week free trial.

Amber explains that she over eats and like wants to fuck orange chicken and whatever and the therapist says wow sounds like you have a problem with binging food. Amber takes that to be the diagnosis she's looking to shove in the hayders faces and never talks to him again.

Amber mentions that someone in the past has brought up that she could have BED and the therapist says its certainly possible. Amber takes that to be the diagnosis she's looking to shove in the hayders faces and never talks to him again.

Can Better Help sue Amberlynn for slander because she said they diagnosed her, admitted to diagnosing her, and then making a video about it?

It sounds like the Dunning Kruger effect. It's a cognitive bias in which people of low ability are delusional and mistakenly think their cognitive ability is greater than it is. The more inept and unskilled a person is, the effect is usually more pronounced. Interestingly, they also have no cognition that they are completely inept and unskilled and will continue to inaccurately judge how bad they fucking suck no matter if the evidence is shoved up their arses. It continues ad infinitum in their lives because they lack the intelligence or education to be successful at the task at hand, but also lack the ability to know when they are over their heads. Also, add Chantal/Fooby Boobie (or whatever) to this list.

at this point i don't see why the diagnosis thing matters either way

I agree. Let's say she was actually diagnosed by a professional....it's not like she's going to do anything about it. She'll buy another fitbit and water bottle, MAYBE. Eat some kind of disgusting "healthy" crock pot bullshit. Make 3 vlogs about how proud of herself she is. Then not mention it because she will undo the one day of eating unseasoned chicken breast with ice cream and cheesecake factory orange chicken. claim people kept messaging her on instagram/twitter (and definitely NOT from the youtube comments because she DOESN'T EVER read them yall) asking for a weight update. followed by an indignant vlog about how she's gonna do things "her way" and she knows best, despite not having lost any weight ever. her weight-loss "journey" vlogs will transform into walmart haul & boring shit her gf/roommates do, vlogs. Up until she remembers she wants so badly to be a success story (without doing any of the work). Start a new diet (probably weight watchers). Vlog about a "new start". Lather, rinse, repeat. another cycle, another 20-50lbs

it's so formulaic at this point

Bitch, it's "nighttime" 4 hours after you wake-up :| so you mean you eat alot almost the entire time you're awake. I like how she drags the online "therapist. .err councillor. .well, they are a therapist but they're councillors" for texting her the phrase 'Binge Eating Disorder' in some type of "Da, da, duh, da, da" context, but she's still "exactly right" about her self-diagnosis :cringe:
