There is more to surviving for Phil than just getting money (as crazy as it sounds). Getting bits/subs/tips from people gives him the perception of growth, therefore giving him more confidence to continue on.

I think instead of saying surviving it would be more accurate to say "things being the way dave wants them to be". Dave will always "survive" (don't forget where the roach in pigroach comes from). So they think a few extra cheers and tips will give him the perception of growth when his average viewership has been steadily declining? Dave looks at the numbers, he knows he's not growing, but he doesn't care because he's still making money. Is he so dumb that he believes there is the possibility for growth in the future even though he's not willing to change anything? Probably, but it doesn't matter because he's still making money. He has no other options for income, it's basically twitch or minimum wage at this point, so he will continue on regardless of growth or anything else as long as he makes more than he could in the work force. If he actually lost so much income he had to sell the middle unit he would move back to Connecticut and continue streaming on twitch.
And as far as confidence goes... he had the confidence to continue on after the whole internet saw him jacking off. So it kinda seems like it is just all about money for him.

Phil went on an autistic rant about how CoD is a terrible game for kids and how only shills like Faze say its good because they get paid.

He says he would never get paid to play a game and he woild never shill some kids game.

There was a segue about how CoD is a kids game but Spyro is a game 'meant for kids'. This makes Spyro good and CoD bad. CoD used to be for serious mature gamers who cared about its high skil ln ceiling.

Regarldess, motherfucker literally just shilled Odyssey. Its like be cant understand professional cod players might actually enioy cod.

He hates playing video games, therefore anyone who professionally plays video games must also be a miserable shill.

Even if tnat was true, at least they pretend to have fun jnstead od being a miserable old man.

Edit: Also fun was Phil going to great lengths to explain he wont be streaming late every night. Its almost like he knows we're all making fun of him.

Maybe we'll get a chain of late night tweets where Phil uses his sledgehammer like subtly to gain some pity. Always get a chuckle when he thinks he is being clever but his intentions are as transparent as glass.

Edit to avoid double post: Jesus. Just saw his shill rant. Did he really call streamers out by name? Not like anything would happen, but does he not understand the irony that after years of bitching about detractors ruining his business he is just shooting his mouth off and trying to detract from other peoples business? Of course he doesn't he is just pissed and vomiting any words that come into his head out of his mouth.

I was gonna call out his bullshit, point out that's been stuck at 185k-ish subs for about 2-3 years. But apparently he's not technically lying, he has slowly but surely seen an increase in his sub count.

Does the fact I just assumed he was lying say more about him or me I wonder.

Fucking lol. I don't pay as much attention to Phil but good to see he's still doing retarded shit. How can anyone enjoy his content though? It's literally like Wings of Redemption. Fucking annoying, whiny, and so shitty that it's only really fun when you come across archives of rage or something of the sort. Having to sit through hours of DSP though.

You know it'd be funny if Youtube ran some kind of check to see active subscibers-those who have watched your content in the past month, what would happen to DSP's sub count. My guess is halved.

Yeah, his subs have been on the rise, but his views are still dropping (he's at about ~900K over the last 30 days, according to socialblade). He went from 70K+ to now ranging between 15-30K. Losing his network and having his channel down does seem to have made a legit difference. Until now, though, he got more than enough from Twitch that it didn't really matter that much. Given the shill stream, this question about his youtube viewers, and his renewed pushing for tips (i.e., doing the whole "here's how you can tip me; let me explain in far too much detail") as well as his renewed post-stream assessments of how *ahem* interactive things were, seems he might be a little worried.

Based on the things I have seen this month the money seems to be drying up. The viewers seem to be diminishing. The actual fans in general are losing interest in dsp. Dsp also seems to be really snappy and irritated. His streaming hours are sparratic as well. Is this the beginning of the end?

He has pretty much ran out of emergencies to use. He has no mcn, he can't beg for tax money again people won't buy it. Kat is supposedly still working and living with him so no money to move her in. What else can he use to beg for on Thanksgiving and Christmas? This is pretty much it here. Unless he gets more surprise whales the money will dwindle down to nothing.

Also when the idiots who troll tip and cheer wise up and see that he doesn't even read that shit anymore sometimes even ignoring the donation completely he will lose like 20% of his income. If he were smart he would just read everything and entertain people to keep them troll cheering but at this point you are just throwing your money away. He cant even be bothered to read legit cheers properly anymore. It seems he needs to seriously find a new profession because he is clearly getting sick of being a video game entertainer. There is no longer even a shred of passion left and it shows in his content.

It does seem like his overall views might be slowly diminishing, but he’s going to have whales, they won’t go away. They will probably stick around longer if his normal viewerbase evaporates and they get more attention. I think dave and the whales would love to live in a world where he streams for like 10 of them throwing money and shout outs at them, the problem is the biggest whales seem to never get along and devour each other .

It’s so fucking wild to see how fast DSP has fallen, just watching a back in time stream of tevins and hearing dave comment on over two thousand viewers were watching him unbox his fucking PS4 or Xbox or something, to now barely managing 300 viewers is just something. He’s basically lost the majority of his viewerbase in one console generation.

The funniest thing is he would probably do a lot better if he took a few more days off, people get bored of routines and the same shit everyday, and that’s excatly what he does. His streams would probably feel a little more special and enticing if he streamed maybe every other day or so(although he missed his chance to do this, he doesn’t have the viewerbase to probably do it now with all dem bills)

That’s really what killed his views, daily exposure to a negative beggar, him and his fans might not know it or admit it, but that shit slowly eats at people until one day they miss a stream for something else, and it happens again, and again, until the try and catch back up and realize how negative he is.

I mean fuck even detractors take breaks from watching other people upload shit of him 2 much, imagine enduring his stream in full everyday

Hm, I think that's just the typical pigroach babble paired with his inabillity to express things correcly. I guess what he really meant was that if Rabitus wouldn't have had the hots for him, resulting in Rabitus getting killed by our street smart 10 year legacy fraud, he wouldn't have been in the right spot at the right time to make bank by killing BPM. At least that's the way I took it. It still feels extremly embarrassing watching a soon to be 40 year old "grown-up" getting so full of Schadenfreude because of a silly kill in a silly killing simulator. In Germany, we got the term "Fremdschämen" for this (fremd= somebody you don't now, schämen= to feel embarrassed).

My favorite detractors are the ones who throw a bitch fit whenever some random asshole has a bit too much rye whiskey and tosses DSP fifty cents in Amazon fun bucks with a snarky message attached.

Really? You like those over the ones that send him 29" cardboard cut-outs of dicks with 'detractor memes' written on them and then excitedly make posts in the General thread asking asking other users if Dave has mentioned receiving them, when they sent them to the wrong address?

I'm going to need you to post a list in descending order of your most to least favorite categories of 'detractors' with corresponding photos of your genitals at different levels of arousal as I'm not very good with numbers or reading facial expression, but am very adept at discerning sentiment from the moisture level and engorgement/general floppiness of a tasteful crotch shot :)
