I remember Chance indignantly stating he’d taken care of death planning, and he wasn’t going to be cremated. This was in response to a nice note suggesting he watch that mortician YouTuber.
I am sure he was lying, took care of nothing and left it to family. They don’t seem wealthy, and cremation is the cheapest way to go, although it costs more for the obese.

@bitchinlittlesheep inadvertently told us he died of obesity and not meds. I say that because it was confirmed he had a wound vac and yet still did no self care. A wound vac and the rest of you needs cleanliness.
For those who don’t know, a wound vac is a machine you wear, on always, that sucks infected material out of an open wound, worn 22/7. When it’s taken off, up to 2 hours a day, it has to be cleaned with sterile dressings as does the wound. Sometimes they have a home care nurse doing it, or his sister could have been trained. He’d need to go in for regular appointments. You can’t leave them dirty.
He would have needed a shower with an antibacterial soap regularly. Washed in his folds, back included, and then sprinkled with medicated powder. Sounds like that wasn’t happening since he was still yeasty and stinky. Which means that infected material may have been getting into open wounds when the vac was off, which was probably a lot more than it was supposed to be. Infected material and dirt getting in a wound could cause sepsis and kidney failure again. Since he had whole organ failure once, I can’t imagine surviving it twice.
Sepsis feels like you are incredibly weak and need to sleep. He probably felt like that often, so didn’t know and may not have registered.
As for the drugs, you can get benzos and narcs at the same time. It depends, I suppose, but Ativan (a benzo) is given to people on narcotics quite often. (It also acts as an anti-nausea and sleep aid. )
The longer you are on these meds, the less likely you’ll OD. Prescribed and taken as written, of course.
I’m not talking about buying them off the street, if he did that it’s different as they can be cut with anything now, including fake Fentanyl. But if he was getting them from a doc, he was only likely to cause an OD if he wanted it to. (And now, if you get a regular narcotic prescription, they give you narcan too-that’s new.) Which maybe he did OD on purpose, who knows.
Occams Razor says wound infection leading to sepsis and death is what killed him, especially with this info. It’s not like it was the first infection scenario he’d been through.
Somebody asked what will happen when Chance dies. The answer-the thread would go on a week and then he’d be forgotten forever.
One more question for
@bitchinlittlesheep -were his mom and sister also fat? Fats usually learn to eat the way their families do. I often wondered if this paraphilia stuff was an elaborate excuse to justify being fat in his mind-and make cash. After all, he was 500 lbs by high school and he likely was a child whale long before he knew what sex was.
