When I saw this thread, I was filled with a horrible sadness for reasons I can't seem to parse. It's not pity, it's just. . .sadness. Harriet makes me sad & I have no idea why.

I feel party responsible for this. When Sophie La'Bill went after one of my users I got really protective and got Sophie to fuck off, but I think that gave Lagoona a sense of immunity that really wasn't there.
It gives me another reason to hate LaBill.
That being said, I did look through Lagoona's tweets around the same time that she claims her dad almost killed her, and I'm not convinced by her story for multiple reasons.
I'm more than convinced, and I frankly now put her on the same tier as Jake Alley with his constant lying about his mom who puts a roof over his head. She is a goddamn adult who is being supported by her parents and the absolute least she can do is not libel them online.
On top of that, she's been outright caught lying about these claims repeatedly.
Originally, she was telling people that her dad hit her so hard, that her face was scraped and she had bruises on her neck - earlier in the thread, someone posted a screencap where she claimed that she had to wear a scarf in public to cover the bruises.
Having clear, physical injuries is one of the surest ways to get police intervention in child abuse incidents, and certainly if she had to cover the marks days after the event, it must have been pretty bad, right?
But the day after she was supposedly beaten to a pulp by her father, when someone asked her why she didn't go to the police, this was her response. She literally states, "I don't have any physical injuries."
These aren't legitimate claims. And it's frankly reprehensible to make such false claims about someone she should be thanking every goddamn day. If this kind of shit got out (which she has now made a certainty), it's the kind of claim that could destroy someone's reputation.

So two things.
1. Despite the horseshit of hurt feeling squads patrolling the net most UK police forces will say "Don't contact the website, make all your social media private to friends only and if they persist in contacting you then we can talk." There will be no sporran wearing bobbies coming here telling us to say hoots Mon hae bad wae all oor. (As has now happened to her Twitter)
Incidentally, to the extent they do any policing of hurt feelings at all, the only person here under their jurisdiction is Goon herself.
So if she is actually stupid enough to call the cops over a thread making fun of dumb shit she posted, like dozens of lolcows before her, the only evidence they'll find is she's broken those laws herself and if they arrest or give anyone an ASBO or whatever equivalent of that still exists, it will be her.
I think she's probably lying about that, though.
