Lolcalf? I unironically watch his videos but he's definitely been acting a little more 'unstable' over time. Like in his recent JoJo's video where he takes a minute to sigh about how nazis are real, not to mention the bizarre content of his videos about piracy and the like. I feel like if you give it a few months to a year, he'll start using his platform to do all sorts of weird shit if the sponsors can't reign him in hard enough.

Surprised no one has posted this one, I'm not Geoff so I ain't going to poison the well too much, but it's worth watching to see how this dude's head works.

Anime youtube (the community at large too) are fucking exceptional.

Also, yeah, Goblin Slayer is edgy but a) there's nothing wrong with that, b) it's nothing new (see Gantz, Berserk, arguably Another)

I also don't think of MB as someone who would have a big public meltdown, especially because he seems to know how to turn bland content into money and wouldn't do anything so risky on his channel.
At the same time, I can't help but feel like something funny is bubbling under the surface, especially with Sony cutting its contract with Crunchyroll next month. Maybe next year when the leaf elections happen?

When you try to rewatch geff's videos in hindsight, it becomes very obvious when they're straight up paid ads. In he actually praising naruto on X video? Yes but only because he was paid by a comapny to shill a mobile game.

Regarding Jojo, he probably only told people to skip parts because the Part 5 was going to start on crunchyroll and he needs to convince newcomers into buying the service now.

His anti-piracy videos are especially hypocrite because it's pretty obvious Geff himself is a pirate, his videos usually show footage of animes unavaiable on the west meaning he downloaded that shit on kissanime or whatever. But nah, he still gotta make multiple videos saying tevery time you go to Kissanime you kill an animator.

His mentality is literally exceptional. Tournaments have money involved, so they also need rules to ensure a fair fight happens. Items and stages are pure RNG so having them decide a fight is absurd. It's like watching a Judo champingship except guns are popping out of thing air there is a tornado appearing every 45 seconds.

As someone who watched his gaming videos and thought they were godawful (even by his standards) i have to question this. What kind of school did he go to have this mentality? Extra credits school?

I could see where he is coming from regarding Smash tournament play, about how the uniformity make for what he considers less fun gameplay. The problem is insisting that that having items and stages with radically different layouts is a much larger jump in randomness than having to consider weather in (some) sports (which isn't completely 'random' from a sports perspective, since you can see forecasts and plan ahead, unlike some Smash box drop). And the degree in game design comment is just asinine.

BTW, he went to the Vancouver School of Film 1-year Game Design program, where you design a 2d Unity game before working with others on a 'big' project. Don't know the price (not listed website, for some reason), but this disgruntled review gives a price (in 2015) of 35k for a Canadian resident for a year, which I would say is about double even the most expensive Canadian public university's year tuition.

All to be a YouTuber and Twatterer. Definitely worth it.
