My guess is it's trying to piggyback off Drag Race fame since they're RuGirls. They probably figure even though it's shit, people will watch it for their favorite queens.

And to think, this was someone's chance to make something less boring than Dinosaur and something less hateworthy than anything Land Before Time - related. What is wrong with making dinosaurs what they are? Scaly, giant killing machines! That's what they are - that's what they need to be portrayed as, period!
