First off, Asexual reproduction has been known of for as long as microscopes have existed. Hermaphrodites even sequential hermaphrodite exist all over nature. A 'Binary model' of gender does not describe this situation. For thousands of years, languages of all kinds include a word for third gender, including English and Latin. The literal translation in Rome, as it is today of 'neuter' was 'neither male nor female'.
Why the sudden urge to erase it?
None of this is new information, I probably underestimated, more like known for more than a century, most of it.

Non-binary describes observed nature. Now... medical science can study it all it likes, but non-binary describes observed nature.

you do know the difference here microscopic single celled organisms do asexual reproduction just as our cells do. But you show me one person with evidence they reproduced a child asexually on their own.
and no non binary is not observed in nature. that i know very clearly i do have an extensive background in biology. now studying science for more than 4 decades and not one thing i have ever read stated that there is a non binary. fact is it all shows binary.

Less than half of all life on earth follows a binary sex model. Granted most of that is asexual reproduction. But triunary is well documented, as are hermaphrodite and sequential hermaphrodite, e.g. clown fish.
Shall we agree that gender defines a relationship to reproduction. And 'gender' means grouping according to relationships to reproduction. Worker ants do not reproduce, they are neuter. They do not participate in reproduction. The genders in eusocial insects are drone queen and worker, male female and neuter.
