I mean, I'm really not trying to defend the whole BDSM culture, cuz that's not really my thing, but I'm pretty sure the whole dom/sub, master/slave role playing dynamic is kinda common throughout the whole BDSM community. Even the dude I was replying to said he sees why people would role play that kind of dynamic, but they should emphasize boundaries, limits, safety. My point was, BDSM people do emphasize that shit, a lot, and if you wanna know what BDSM people mean by "slave" in these relationships, there are a bunch of BDSM tumblrs linked in this very thread that are talking about that. You can't just jump from "they call them slaves" to "of course this leads guys to emotionally abuse men until they get dangerous body mods they don't want" just because it's the word slave. I mean, there are women out there being emotionally abused into legit sexual slavery, i.e. prostitution, every day, and most of them aren't even involved in BDSM.
Also, Dylan probably just doesn't like the word "slave" cuz his whole defense for why people are mean to him is cuz they're racist, and not, y'know, all the legit abuse.
You may not be best placed to answer this, but why? I mean, leaving aside the very important fact that his personality is about as fucked up as you can get, the guy is physically a freak. He’s something out of the uncanny valley. What’s the attraction? What is it about him that makes anyone outside his harem want to defend him?
I'll take a stab at this. He's fashioned himself to look like a muscly gay erotic drawing type character. Those gay, muscular bara drawings, and the furry bara like Dylan used to draw as a teen, they have that bizarre exaggerated muscular aesthetic going on. So like you said, he is straight out of the uncanny valley. It's a fantasy image, but instead of drawing the images, he now sculpts them out of people, steroids, photoshop and silicone. It's no surprise that one of his pups, Angus, is named after his old fursona. Even the whole gargantuan schlong and nutsack and entire person aesthetic is ripped straight out of the weird kinks of furry art and shit. One of the blog posts I mentioned on page 14, where Tank is responding to a question about his junk, the questioner mentions "living your macro fantasies." Macro is the furry art term for that bizarre fetish. And like, straight porn has a bunch of women with ridiculously huge fake bolt-on tits, which seems kinda similarly non-human looking to me.
As far has him having so many people defending him, I think that's a couple of things. He does have his whole brand/story thing going, and his fans are invested in the whole thing. They're like Kanye stans or Nicki Minaj stans defending each fucking stupid thing they say or do, at least with the emotional abuse that came to light in 2016. But keep in mind, after that incident, gay and BDSM people basically shunned Dylan out of SF, the biggest gay city on the planet, after his emotional abuse came to light. Dylan's online stans are people wacking it to his tumblr photos. When it comes to him killing Tank, I have not seen a single person trying to defend Dylan on twitter or tumblr since I first heard about it and started search on those sites, so I really think he's lost even his crazy stans with the whole killing his pup thing. That really breaks the illusion for people, I think.
