Methinks the reason Bob wants the Troon label to remain viable is because :
(A) it gives him a last ditch tactic to get back in the good graces of the SJWs, in the event he says or does something that really pisses them off. Trooning out himself is the ultimate way to prove his loyalty to the Lavender Crusaders, and all he'll have to do is don a bad wig and make a half-assed attempt to dress like someone's frumpy aunt.
(B.) It opens up dating options for Bob. We've already seen the success that Bob has had with biologically chromosomed women. (Someone here once posted a twitter exchange where a female acquaintance of Bob tried to tweet-bait random men to come over to her place, then quickly backpedaled when she hooked Bob.) However, a passable looking troon would be a lot less picky about the men she dated, knowing many of them would bolt upon seeing her pre-op nakedness, hence she just might go for Bob. Bob, for his part, would probably welcome a chance to demonstrate his wokeness as well as snag a mate who at least resembled a member of the female sex, even if said mate looks like Chris-chan's long lost sister.

It's actually really sad how truthful this is. Coming out as transgender is the one "get out of jail free card" for any bad thing you've done in life. It is the one thing that completely cleans the slate with leftists who once despised you.
If you don't believe me, you should read up on the story of Peter Kevin Langan. Langan was part of a neo-nazi and white supremacist gang that committed a number of bank robberies during the 1990's. Langan's gang is rumored to have used the money from their bank robberies to help fund the Oklahoma City Bombing, and was so prominent that they even had an episode of the show Gangland done about them.
Anyway, one of the things that came out about Langan after his capture was that he was leading a double life. Apparently while he was running this gang, he was also leading a life as a transvestite. Since being in prison for his crimes, he has hormonally transitioned and is now an LGBT activist from prison.

That's really the question that he needs to address, isn't it? Bob believes that possessing an encyclopedic level of knowledge (he doesn't but for the sake of argument) about pop culture is a primary component, if not THE deciding metric, of intelligence. It explains why he's so disinterested in persuading anyone that his political positions make sense. Bob truly believes that if you imbibe as much media, fictional and non-fictional, you would become just as smart as he is and agree with all of his assertions. As if he believes playing Mario 3 drunk helped program him into becoming a Superior Human, and his book is an evangelistic plea bleated by a zealot. That's why he feels such lame slap-backs like "who wants to tell him?" and "google it" are such powerful statements, even though literally all he's advocating is that you type his opinion into a search engine and treat the first result that pops up as if it's holy writ, because it's at the top of the results. Maybe that explains why he thinks "who are you?" is such a burn, when you'd assume displaying ignorance would be a cardinal sin committed only by The Bad People.
