Culture Transgender activist throw smoke bombs into UK newspaper office - Monthly reminder that troons are crazy.

Transgender activists and allies picketed outside the Metro’s London headquarters, Northcliffe House, in protest today (19 October). They also allegedly threw smoke bombs in the building.

Recently, the newspaper published a transphobic ad as part of the UK’s ongoing discussion about the Gender Recognition Act.

Per the Guardian’s media editor Jim Waterson, the protesters gathered due to this ad.

As Waterson added, smoke bombs were also allegedly thrown during the protests and filled the entrance of Northcliffe House. Staff from the building left through a side entrance.

Others posted videos and photos of protesters outside the building.

How did it come to this?
There is a current, ongoing debate about the Gender Recognition Act (GRA), which was first introduced in 2004. It legally recognized transgender people in the UK for the first time, and allowed them to change their birth certificate.

Many LGBTI organizations, however, now view the Act as generally outdated 14 years later, and inaccessible and difficult for most trans people.

In order to potentially change and streamline the GRA, the government opened up a public consultation in July. It was meant to officially end today, but has been extended to Monday (22 October) due to high demands.

The conversation has become widespread and, according to some, ‘toxic’. Media companies like the Metro, as well as the Guardian, have shared ads and opinions about the debate.

The Metro also published a full-page ad from organizations supporting the trans community, but there is a question about companies like the Metro profiting from this debate.

Anyone can fill out the consultation.

This guide, by LGBT rights charity Stonewall, takes you through the consultation question by question. It has help and advice on how best to support trans people in your answers.

GSN reached out to the Metro for additional comments.

Well folks, according to popular belief, troons are all lovable and peaceful, right? Well, they aren't, especially when they aren't getting what they want. Big suprise.

In this case, they were throwing smoke bombs into the headquarters of the Daily Mail and blocked the doors to teach those transphobes an lesson instead of, you know, whining about how difficult their lives are on social media.

And I know that this is an few days old, but since I didn't see it in here...

They picket fucking METRO? The most wet blanket, dumb-liberal, "progressive" newspaper out there?
And they leave the concervative newspapers alone?

This proves that if you give them a hand they will always demand the whole arm
I believe this has something to do with them being sheltered by the series of legal reforms, starting with the Equality Act of 2010

As in, you can't say or do anything discriminatory to them in public or while you're on the job. And going by how much they hate criticism and anything that's remotely transphobic in their eyes; it shouldn't be hard to see how far they'll go to censor people.

You're telling me mentally unstable people would throw smoke bombs? Nooooooooooo way

Journos are extremely unsparing about someone attacking their persons or premise. If there isn't a strongly-worded editorial tomorrow, you know for sure the UK is cucked.
What is that triggering ad BTW?

Journos have to use the word 'allegedly' in everything. It's basically a get-out-of-lawsuit-free card and it's used for good reason.

What is that triggering ad BTW?

This thing.

AFAIK it's from a feminist group that doesn't like that the trans-community is barging into female spaces with all this "woman with a penis" garbage. So they appeal to using common sense. Little did they realize common sense triggers troons big time.

As a personal side note it's hilarious that a group that's typically seen as ones who talk down on men about male privilege now have to bend to trannies talking down on them about "cis" privilege.

Doesn’t DM sucks trannies feminine penis’s, why would they attack them?

Only because Hollywood is sucking girlcocks right now. DM only cares about what brings in the ad money and copy-paste celeb stories.

Maybe trannies should get their other mental disorders sorted out before deciding they're the opposite sex.

Nah. That makes too much sense.
