Narcissa's stuck in a negative feedback loop. They're so fucked up that they can't live without it. Positive attention doesn't even seem to do anything for them anymore, they simply ignore their hugboxers asspats and go out of their way to search for negativity. It's just bizarre and psychotic. Knowing 100% that something will fuck you up but craving it more than anything else to the detriment of the rest of your life anyway. This person is just beyond hopeless and the cycle will continue until they're hauled off in a strape jacket or body bag.

I feel that and you are right. Thing is, the Smash community is just about as welcoming a community you could ask for in a lot of ways.

Hell, look at m2k. Dude is incredibly awkward and socially clueless. Often says and does things that are varying levels of inappropriate. Obviously has some sort of issues, on the spectrum somewhere. He is also one of the most beloved and admired figures in all of competitive smash bros. I've watched tournaments where practically the entire crowd, hundreds or thousands strong, is literally chanting his name, where even his top level opponents are openly cheering him on. Even Twitch chat spamming nothing but memes in his support.

People used to do that same sort of thing for Cosmo back in the day. They'd do it again if Narcissa came to tournaments and played well. And I don't mean placed well, I just mean showed up prepared and showed off the skills that once upon a time made Melee Zelda look like a competitively viable character. There'd be some trans hate in chat of course, but every single community figurehead would bend over backwards to combat that, and those guys carry a ton of weight. All it would take to counteract a lot of that hate would be Mango, Scar, PPMD, or M2k condemning it, which they'd no doubt do.

Mew2King is heavily autistic, but generally a sweetheart and harmless. Narcissa is a ghoul both inside and out, and a terrible, selfish person. There's no remote comparison between the two. If the Smash community indeed did accept Narci the way he acts, then they will crumble and they will deserve it.

You're right in that the community would try to accomodate him but if you think Cosmo would meet them anywhere near halfway you're very wrong. Nothing would ever be enough for him at this point, he's totally out of touch with reality, he doesn't know his place in the world or in a social order anymore, he's not capable of handling anything outside of his little circle of text-on-a-screen enablers. He can't even keep from embarrassing himself online because some people on reddit or here said something about him he doesn't like. How is he ever going to handle the emotional pressure of competing with someone face to face in a public venue?

I'm going to take a moment to backseat moderate a community I'm not even a part of. While I get the appeal of breaking down Cosmos' bullshit arguments to tell him how they're bullshit, and samandtolki is is largely for that, at this point it's all been done before and it's feeding into his desire for attention. I posted that transcript earlier in this thread. The video was one of Narcissa's BOTW streams on utube. I did not clip at the time because Narco had pledged to document 'every last second' of his gameplay so I wasn't expecting him to take down videos. How naive I was then to think that this cow could stick to a plan.

Narco is apparently now denying he said it. Apart from removing fifty uses of the word 'like', for the sanity of readers, I copied the words accurately and nobody raised any discrepancy at the time.

Watching a drug addled Narcissa say in twenty minutes what a sober man would say in five can be painful for listeners, which is why I transcribed it. Little did I expect Narcissa had a lot further to fall. He sounded like a teetotaler then compared to now.

I can't stand watching or listening to unedited Cosmo, over the course of a nine hour stream 8 hours will be silence, 40 minutes will be inane drawn out rambling and 20 minutes will be "crying" for attention. Sometimes though there will be comedy gold buried in there but I certainly am not panning for gold in that river of soylent.

I want to echo this statement, it really is surreal seeing someone so many of your peers respected. Who was so popular on a new burgeoning entertainment medium with so many opportunities for success instead opt to burn down everything they had and go so publically and legitimately insane.
