Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

Taken from the MovieBob thread because I find his misunderstanding of events amusing.

Romance is just porn for women, and I think porn is going to be mostly immune to SJW incursions because of the structure of the business and the nature of the paying customer base.
Not so sure. You got something like Peepoodo and the Super Fuck Friends making the rounds as rather popular and it has a tinge of SJW elements to it. Of course it's supposed to be an educational goofy adult cartoon, but they're definitely not making fun of said elements. At least, I don't believe so as it's hard to tell since it's French. In America the way they do it would be considered satire, given the environment of the show, but I'm not so certain that's the case there. Their sense of humor is weird. Anyways, don't assume anything is immune to these fucks. They try to inject themselves in leading positions and artists are already taught SJW trash on average.

Of course I find it hilarious that a show about sex is trying to make statements on rape culture and toxic masculinity, but eh. Crazy times we live in.

They’ve long ago gained control over SciFi/Fantasy & some of Crime Fiction & Thrillers. Not to mention YA.
How deep and far though?

Because I remember reading Rick Riordan's Magnus Chase and The Ship of the Dead (also remember him thanking Cassandra Clare for the name "Magnus Chase") and it introduced a Muslima daughter of Loki and a literally genderfluid offspring of Loki.

Those were easily the most insufferable characters in the entire Rick Riordan universe.

Speaking of Cassandra Clare, her franchise, The Shadowhunter Chronicles, is just...

It is filled with obvious lack of research in Judeo-Christian mythology (Michael wouldn't have a Roman quote on his sword, if any, but a Hebrew one) mixed with turgid soap opera nonsense and an obvious Mary Sue self-insert character called Clarissa "Clary" Adele Fray. I read through the entire main subseries, The Mortal Instruments, hoping for an epic fight between Jace Christopher Herondale (the hero) and Jonathan Christopher (Sebastian) Morgenstern (the final boss), but it ended with bullshit so rancid, I was done with the book series entirely.

Jonathan Christopher (Sebastian) Morgenstern was easily one of the best characters in The Mortal Instruments, and he got beaten because his sister, Clary, used his incestuous lust for her against him, and stabbed him with Michael's sword "Glorious". Because Johnny was born with demon blood in his veins, he burned up with holy fire and died.

This is the Indiegogo he's talking about but I've literally never heard of them.

Reading the summary, it looks like the story is in an interesting grey area for CG if they are really backing it:
Most comics that claim to be set in the real world fail to take on real issues seriously. But along comes Agenda which will take on subjects even the media wants to bury. What if six people came along with the power to actually affect change? Governments would immediately see them as a threat. Problems are often the byproduct of politics.
On one hand it seems to be political, but it also blames all the problems on politics. According to the author, the comic has political themes but it isn’t expressly political:
This is not political in the sense that it's an attack on any political party. I am not out to alienate anyone. I seek to entertain. I write stories to stand the test of time. But the themes and issues in this story are generally untouched by entertainment today. This is a comic that will deal with areas the media does not want to touch.
The art looks good imo, if they complete more pages than just these 3 I might back it:
The heroes/protagonists:
Gadsden Rorschach:

Diving suit + Occulus = Super hero costume:

I’m disappointed he’s not called Kangz:

All kidding aside, I’m looking forward to more.

Well, they own all of the SciFi/Fantasy awards & unless something is overtly feminist, it doesn’t get major publishing house release or even get a read by an agent to shop it. Blake even talked about how her upcoming apolitical female-led fantasy book wouldn’t get touched a year ago but as soon as she raised like $90 grand on Kickstarter for it, suddenly her phone started ringing & her DM’s started filling up.

We all see it in basically every YA title out there.

And Crime/Thriller, it’s been a little less overt but I’ve noticed it when just trying to find a new book to read. New release stuff all has this weird undertone of feminism & evil men.

I’ve noticed you started blocking anyone who appears in your threads trying to debate you on CG topics, is it really patience or can you not defend your claims?:

I don't know where I was going with this, didn't end up feeling like stenciling over the characters:

Bendis liking it, only makes me hate it more:

I’ve never understood how Kimmel appeals to anyone. His content is incredibly bland and unchallenging; basically the perfect content for NPCs. Not to mention the inherent hypocrisy of him being a rich Hollywood elite trying to be woke and talking down to regular Americans. I guess that makes him perfect for nu-Marvel.

I'm still at a loss of how he even got to the position he's in right now. He and Jimmy "Corpsing" Fallon becoming such prominent talk show hosts is so baffling given their beginnings and how neither were really that highly regarded as comedians.

Fallon got the gig the same way Conan and Meyers got theirs: Lorne Michaels liked him.
