His use of LARPing was the most out of touch with internet terms. I get what he was trying to say (I think) by implying we were paranoid or making up him having socks on here, but that's such a stretch for the term. Usually it's used in reference to someone posing as something they aren't. Greer LARPing as a lawyer/song writer, Wu LARPing as a politician, Potato Phil LARPing as an antifa soldier etc. Him constantly saying shit like we're LARPing him in his thread, especially when he follows it up by talking about a-logging just shows how out of touch he is, which is honestly kind of baffling considering how much time he dedicates to his online circles. Like, it is "hacker known as 4 chan" levels of not getting it.
It's a relatively small thing, but it really sums up Bryan so well. He only cares about fitting in and sitting at the popular internet kid table. He's the kind of person that laughs at an inside joke despite everyone around him knowing he doesn't get it, but then he manages to take it one step further by not only repeating that joke to try and fit in, but he pretends to be the originator or make it seem like he was involved in the original in some way. I'm sure if that conversation had continued on the stream, he'd have eventually resorted to his usual tactic of spewing outdated and unrelated memes. It's almost impressive how, despite obsessing and trying to throw himself into so many internet cultures, he's barely above illiterate tech grandpa in terms of understanding online culture.
