I think most people who play games are either massively entitled or absolute bitches. Perhaps it's just the people I hang around but that seems to be the majority of the cunts I play with.
I like the Princess Maker games.![]()
As someone who has played a few White Wolf Tabletop rpgs including Hunter I strongly disagree. In fact something Troika did was it condensed VtM's obtuse and somewhat dull lore into a more easily consumable package. Something Troika did somewhat smartly is they made the vampire hunters catholics with no real supernatural traits. Whereas in the game Hunter by White Wolf Vampire Hunters are actually just humans but somewhat superhuman with enhanced abilities and traits.
oWoD and nWoD have this issue where the subject matter is insanely cringe and comes off like it was made for people who browse Deviant Art. Like they were heavy into SocJus long before it was mainstream and made frequent comparisons between vampirism and gender identity. It would be genuinely challenging to adapt other WoD properties like Werewolf, Mage and especially Wraith.
It also would've lacked a few elements that made VtmB stand out compared to other rpgs at the time, and even nowadays. Like how drastically the game changes depending on the Vampire clan you choose to play. This is what most people remember about the game
I'm not supposed to not want to shoot them with a flaming crossbow? Common manThe Brujah can be passionate fighters but also critical thinkers; the clan activists are often very different from the clan theorists. On many occasions, the latter are Embraced from former gender studies or sociology students, those who have survived near-death experiences, and people who have in other ways suffered and endured great personal loss. The philosophical Brujah, known as Hellenes, believe the best method of dismantling the establishment is to understand the social and cultural systems that allow it to exist in the first place.
You might like this video. It sheds some light on some aspects that never made it into the game that would have truly made it special, namely far more dynamic (and smarter) AI.The Last Of Us is extremely overrated and has some of the shittiest and most awkward stealth and aiming mechanics I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing.
I remember the salt about this video when the creator shared it on NeoGAF. Good shit. You might like this video. It sheds some light on some aspects that never made it into the game that would have truly made it special, namely far more dynamic (and smarter) AI.
Funniest part was that in his follow-up video regarding the Left Behind DLC, he acknowledged all the commenters who claimed he had a broken copy or his PS3 was messed up. He then said he played Left Behind on a different PS3 with a different copy and the AI was still shit.I remember the salt about this video when the creator shared it on NeoGAF. Good shit.
You know, I feel kinda the same way about parasite eve. The goofy forced biology lesson in the beginning stands out "Oh cell mitochondria are the powerplants of the cells" then adds scifi nonsense so the villain can make people burst into flames.I wasn't super into Parasite Eve. The concept was cool, the music was great, and honestly the entire opening sequence was pretty well done.
The rest of the game kinda falls flat for me though. The story was a bit ridiculous, the battle mechanics got really boring after a while, and there wasn't much incentive for me to really delve into the gun customization. Maybe for the post game stuff, but by that point I wasn't interested.
Also the environmentalist message during one of the ending cutscenes felt so fucking forced.
To be fair, it's been a few years since I first played the game. Maybe playing it a second time would make me change my mind. Wouldn't be the first time I fell in love with a game after I gave it a second playthrough.
Also, I know this is petty, but I really hate the usage of stock sound effects. Made it harder for me to take the game seriously.
As a huge fan of the first one. I'd say you'd love it if you replayed it, taking into consideration that this was Squares first time experimenting with actual Real Time battle (not FF RTB), you gotta give them kudos for that. I don't think the rest of the game fell flat, the zoo had exploding and amazing cutscenes as did the museum and it really shows the power of the mitochondria through out and proves to be a extremely powerful foe, also makes you use her powers more, to beat enemies quicker.I wasn't super into Parasite Eve.
