What will Chris do after substantial time has passed without the merge happening? Will he blame it on trolls somehow stopping it or will he claim/start believing that he can actually see them "fading in and out"? If people are walking around dressed up on Halloween then he'll think they're OCs.

Really? I dont recall there being literally any precedent for Chris allowing someone to co-write Sonichu. Also considering what hes like when he has an even mildly positive relationship with literally anyone chances are he would have mentioned a new friend or co-writer over twitter or youtube by now.

Does anyone else think that this cope may have to do with how he wishes to be wealthy, successful AND how he wishes Bob were still there?

I think we may dismiss too much of what he says to craziness/narcissism that we miss the tiny details. In his mess of a Sonichu 16 comic, he does create a brief scenario where one day Bob shows up at his door out of the blue, transforms into a Sonichu, and says "I'm not gonna let another heart problem keep me from my family".

This is pretty sad to be honest. In his mind and heart, he's still hoping Bob is just going to show up at 14 Branchland Court one day , like in some sort of children's movie, now when Chris and Barb need him most and tell them he's never going to leave them again.

This, combined with his failure in life in all ways, his inability to adapt, and all this delusional nonsense, I think he really should seek serious mental help like checking himself into the psych ward at a hospital.

uh well there is a pretty substantial precedent in all the Idea Guy shit, but the dimensional merge thing isn't Sonichu, so it doesn't really matter. Current Chris is not Old Chris. He has IRL friends that he doesn't talk about online. The only reason we know he has IRL friends of any kind is because people like Marvin say Chris has friends.

Regardless of your feelings about the quality of Chris' imagination and stories, he's at least consistent within threads, and usually from thread to thread. The thread that's particularly suspect to me was from today with him talking about "self-counterparts" in the other dimension. He seems to imply that there is only one, but a thread from August discusses another from DCUO. To me, this seems like something that Chris wouldn't fuck up on his own. It just feels off.

This honestly makes the most sense to me. He's weaving this delusional world to try and escape from the reality that in a few years he'll have no money, no family and his home will likely be foreclosed on by the bank. Rather than planning for that certainty he's just in severe denial, like somehow his abusive-ass father and mother will still save him from having to grow up.

Once Barb is gone I have no doubt we're going to end up seeing him on the streets or something, with nobody left to support him his life as he knows it is going to collapse in on itself.
