My additional advice is this: there are plenty of furries out there who like the same things as you, you will have no issues finding more friends who are into videos and making music or taking photos, there are groups of furries who do just this.
Don’t poke the mob. By being friendly with this guy, you’ve made yourself a target. When SHTF and you’re seen defending someone like this, you WILL be seen as complacent or an enabler.
There are people who will not hesitate to dox, as you’ve seen. Go do your own thing, focus on your hobbies and college, this guy ain’t worth it.

I've known Kero for 4 years and become semi-close to him. I've seen his character and personality, his talents and strong points, and most importantly, how capable of change he is. What I don't want people to think is that I'm just out here going "hahaha I'm a mod for this popular dude and I'll support him till death!". What I want you guys to know is that as the situation continues, I'm attempting to be a good friend for him by listening, giving my opinions, and helping him out how I can. As he is a friend, I do have a biased point of view and feel like I was/still am going through a minor form of the stages of grief (aka denial, anger, etc). This has resulted in some sorta poor decisions regarding the situation. In the end, I'm just a dumb 18-year-old who wants to help out a good friend through a hard time. I'm sure some of this is written poorly and will come back to bite me in the ass, but I really just wanted to throw some of my thoughts out there.

I know you might have known him for a while and know his good side well, but fact is, zoosadism and zoonecrophilia are some very taboo paraphilias, and if people engage in them so willingly, they must have defeated a lot of mental barriers to embrace it so far. It's not a sexual tendency he can just move on from, he needs to admit he has a major problem and seek help for it, and he needs to face the consequences of his action as deferent from engaging in his violent fetishes again. It may appear that by standing up to Kero you're helping him, but you're letting his dark, indulgent side get away and bring him as a person down, again and again. Please consider this.

it's exceptionally rare to see this behavior on KF. i think most people here are aware that you've been actively groomed by someone who operates primarily by preying on the vulnerable: his late dog, children. those interests you share with each other are just a vector for manipulation, and if there's even a single doubt in your mind that Kero is not worth dropping immediately, he got you.

if you're worried about networking, because :powerlevel: i can understand that sentiment from my experience working in the field :powerlevel:, don't. there are THOUSANDS of people you could get along with that you'd be able to connect with, meaningfully. overlooking the "Zoo Crew" nonsense: dead dog, raped puppies, and possible child molestation (by Nelizar, his friend) and continuing with this working relationship could absolutely be one of the biggest mistakes in your entire life.

hopefully you can see it's in your best interest to run far, far away from this mess. and don't look back.

This is the scariest bit in my opinion. If you have pets, just imagine for a second thinking “hmmm I think I’ll violently rape my dog and choke him with a dildo”.. it turns your stomach doesn’t it? Imagine you come home from work and your roommate or sibling has violently raped your pet, your blood would be boiling!! Mine does at the mere thought of it.

Now imagine the mentality of someone who thinks or does those things and feels zero remorse, or gains sexual pleasure from doing so. These people are maniacs, they’re extremely dangerous and are completely devoid of morals. These are NOT people you want to be around or associate yourself with, because you know the phrase: birds of a feather flock together.

I think it’s good to give people the benefit of the doubt sometimes, especially if they’re younger. We’ve all done incredibly stupid shit when we were young, the brain doesn’t develop enough to think about long-term consequences until you’re in your 20s.
If they ignore your advice and continue fucking up, you can at least say you tried your best to help.

This is a person who; in the face of logs proven legit and video/photo evidence, chooses to double down like a dollar store Trump. He doesn't give a damn. This shows by his clear unrepentant attitude. He wants to keep his miniscule fame and status and pretend he doesn't abuse animals.

FIND BETTER FRIENDS. You can always find better people who aren't total creeps. This fandom can introduce you to the best people you'll meet and some of the very worst. End of the day you will be judged by the company you willingly keep and people you associate with. Associating with Josh at this stage is very very unwise. And you don't even need to make a *thing* of it. All you need to do is just steadily speak to them less. Not respond to their texts, emails or whatever. Everyone gets the message eventually.

Kothorix is nuts and annoying as hell, but from my experiences with them and the experiences of others that I've talked to, furries are exactly the way he describes and he is right. Furries are totally obsessed with sex, thirsty as hell, and into weird and sometimes harmful fetishes that other furries encourage and cultivate in them. And to think they act surprised when someone says their fandom is so dark.

Perhaps he's just gained a little self awareness and has finally come to see the forest for the trees. If so, it's too bad he had to go through all this shit with Kero and the other zoosadists to gain it; I guess sometimes a major system shock is what's needed. And you know, I do hope he puts it all behind him and gets better by moving on.
