The FAS theory for why Dave is the way he is intrigues me more with successive mentions. Anybody buying it?

He does exhibit many symptoms than can be associated with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum and has consistently done so for years: Difficulty with Attention, Poor Memory, Poor Coordination, Learning Disabilities, Poor Reasoning and Judgment skills, Abnormal Facial Features, Vision or Hearing problems. https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/fasd/facts.html https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/fasd/alcohol-use.html

I've recently been coming to the conclusion that he has mommy issues. Like his whole being a messy, sloppy, belching, dirty person who doesn't clean his environment is attention seeking behavior to get mommy to pay attention to her needy boy and wipe his bottom. It wouldn't surprise me if his mother didn't want him and wasn't nurturing.
Here are some examples of attention seeking behavior: Fake illness to get attention, overly dramatic, acting super busy and important to Wow people when they complete tasks, pretends to be the victim of the smallest situations.
Now add in a mother who doesn't correct the behavior with positive attention and stays withdrawn only giving negative or no attention, then extend for 36 years.

We find an adult who spends an hour a day ranting to anyone who will listen about his jealousy for other content creators who receive more attention, and because he has hitched all his finances directly to whatever attention he is receiving his financial situation also plays a prominent part in this attention seeking behavior. He made a huge financial mess for himself and now he gets to keep crying for other people to clean it up for him and give him attention in the form of donations.

A thing to remember is that he can easily turn off the nasal drip and snorting, which means it can't be legit. Whenever someone important to him is watching the stream, he doesn't snort at all. He's went the full stream without snorting. This makes me think that it is in fact psychological, one of his ticks in order to delay the conversation to help him think. Just like his uhms, you know what I means, alrights, okays and sound goods.
I agree 100% and noticed the same thing on several different occasions. The snorting is a nervous tic.

Y'all forgot the bald spot his mother gave him by combing his hair wrong.
You talking the bald spot on his hair or in his goatee?

Phil complains quite a bit that his hands hurt after only a short time using his keyboard and mouse.

According to the Mayo Clinic

Intense joint pain. Gout usually affects the large joint of your big toe, but it can occur in any joint. Other commonly affected joints include the ankles, knees, elbows, wrists and fingers.

I'm noticing on the begging video he put up tonight no snorts.

Pretty sure he claimed that he received life-long injuries as result of his car crash years ago. Like a piece of metal had speared into his head, that his back problems stemmed from the incident, he nearly died etc.

He also claimed that the "Seattle air" fixed his back, and more recently that he'd built muscles around his core that pushed the slipped disc back into place. So he's miraculously cured for now. I'm sure the back injury will be back with a vengeance soon though.

Breaking News!
Dave reported on stream that tweeked his knee the other day while at his desk and it hurt for three day. News being he alludes to suffering a similar knee injury while working as a CSR at the helicopter place for the first time ( to the best of my knowledge ). He was making videos then and I cannot recall any mention of him having a knee injury. Donning my tinfoil at...did he get let go due to downsizing...or...a workman's comp claim gone awry?

Imagine... This buffoon is the laziest, most sedentary human being I have seenvin my life... this nigga somehow managed to injure his knee while SITTING AT A DESK. Unreal!

EDIT: As for your theory about why be lost the job, I can give you a more definitive answer.

I can’t remember the source, but apparently all of Phil’s coworkers HATED him. He was apparently very bossy and disrespectful, and it got to a point where they were just looking for any reason to get rid of him. They got their wish when Phil’s father, the man who got him the job in the first place, ended up retiring. They let him go and apparently the office threw a party after he was gone.

As I said, I can’t remember the source of this info, I just remember it was a YouTube video.

In a possible moment of honesty, Dave stated his first desk job work related knee injury was related to his being " grossly over weight ( 240#)" at the time . @3:41 of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmcuN1n0324&t=0s
It starts ( @3:08 ) in response to a question about 'Mt. Rain-er' ( Mt. Rainier: pronounced by every other person on the planet as 'Mount Ray-near' ) where he disclose Khet's "has said...she expressed a desire to maybe one day drive up into the mountains to see what it like up there". ..... calling an incoming Stay-cation break soon to drive Khet up to Mt Rain-er. Dave will need a suite or luxury cabin at a local resort so that they can employ a guide to take Khet ( who goes to the gym and is healthy ) hiking on Mt Rain-er. December FUNdraier for Khets Mt Rain-er summit attempt? After Mt Rain-er, guess she will express a desire to climb Mt Everest? YouTube folks gonna need to step up! We all know Dave has said he's wanted to travel. Knowing his history as Valedictorian and his performance in the game Bully, he will bill it as a trip to Japan.

This is the one subject that pisses me off moreso than any other subject involving D$P. I equate his claims to a back injury to be similar to stolen valor.

I know of a person with actual severe spinal cord issues. This person has a legit herniated disc (a bulging disc between the vertebrae), which led to a multitude of spinal cord related issues like spondylothesis (actual slippage/displacement of one vertebrae compared to another), neuropathy (tingling/numbness/pain related to nerve damage in the extremities), and a bunch of other health issues. As a result this person needs two canes to walk, can’t bend their knees and legitimately has to drag their feet to be able to get around. Walking up and down stairs is a painful chore, sleeping or even simply functioning is difficult without opioid pain medications and relief for neuropathy in the form of Lyrica/Neurontin.

There’s simply no way in hell Phil has a legitimate back injury, because if he did it would be far more apparent and would effect even his trash, “sit on a loveseat for hours playing video games job.” The only things left for Phil to steal from actual disabled people is government assistance and parking spots.

Yeah. Sitting improperly in a loveseat for hours a day with no exercise, particularly nothing to work his core, is kind of the worst thing you can do. If you have a good back, sitting on that seat the way he does all turned one way with his head the other for years will GIVE YOU back problems.

So the idea that it's BETTER now is preposterous. I believe that he may have hurt his back. I've had whiplash; it's actually kind of terrible.

But it goes away after a few months. But we all know Dave.

He was complaining about having a sunburn after driving out to buy that Burger King sandwich for the recent "DSP Tries It". How did he get a sunburn at that northern latitude at this time of year? I get that he doesn't go outside much, but this is comical levels of sensitivity to sunlight.

There is simply no way this is true, especially in late October in Seattle WA. I could see if he was a ginger or something but we have this handy dandy atmosphere that protects us from UV radiation and, contrary to Phil’s belief, driving at night to get a burger 10 minutes from your place does not cause sunburn (moonburn?) in any way.

Sounds more like hes just complaining just to complain. Like he's so boring that he tries to find meaning into his life and all that he could come up with is a sunburn from a 10 minute drive.

I think it more figures into the picture Phil has to paint for himself. By now even his most smooth-brained fans know that Phil's life is one of a shut-in and any attempt at making it life seem in anyway physically taxing is purely for his benefit. He constantly reminds himself that it's not his fault, that he's ill, that him babysitting a youtube tab while watching netflix is real hard work, etc.
It's very common in obesity patients where they tell you why they can't lose weight, work or stress or genes or money or diet, but psychologically they are only justifying it to themselves, and Phil pretty much fits this mold like a glove of having to tell himself that his life is hard, that it is an effort. To the outside person it comes off as just plain narcissism, and Phil's mental state is likely born of a lot of that, but underneath it's likely our old pal depression that tells him that his life is hard and there is nothing he can do, everyone else is wrong, lash out, etc. Almost everyone fights depression but Phil is in a spiral that he has no way of getting out of on his own because he doesn't want to and doesn't have the support around him (caused by his own actions of course), so for Phil to justify how it's come to this he has to mention that his chubby arm is medium-rare after a short drive to show himself that the world is indeed cruel and forever pissing on his parade.
