For the record, I've paid for the crowdfunded comics by Meyer and van Sciver, and I'm still waiting. August has turned to November has turned to "just give me some more time, this is hard." In the meantime, I've read a few cool comics. Dark Horse is honestly delivering. Is there a forum here where I can talk about that stuff, or do I have to contaminate this thread with positivity?

Cyberfrog is due this November, and the last update in early October said that EVS just has to finish drawing in some backers into the comic and then it can ship.

Zach's last update two days ago say the books will ship by December 14th. He says the reason the book got delayed from August was due to losing his distribution deal with Antarctic, who was originally going to handle the shipping of the book.

I don't think it's too bad being a little late as long as they keep people updated and it doesn't turn into the Anti side kickstarter lateness. I think they vastly underestimated the time it would take (although EVS should do less streaming and more drawing).

Yes, classic x-men were a great lesson about tolerance, acceptance, and the power of diversity - for children.

Trying to ram these same characters and lessons into an adult’s world is beyond autistic.

That’s not to say you can’t enjoy capeshit as an adult. You just have to understand that they are stories in a child’s world that adults can enjoy as well.
