So as I predicted, the Ralphamales have raided basically everything and made everything 148 gang gang. I don't want to post much in the way of details since I don't want to interrupt a happening, but they already made miss universe tranny stop streaming for a day and really pissed his boyfriend off along with a couple other of that site's streamers. There is also heavy "red pilling" which is going about how you would expect it to with shellshocked and somewhat starstruck normies. I havn't been participating, but find it both funny and sad (as I also predicted)

I have no problem with 148 gang gang and generally find it hilarious, but I often don't like seeing wholesome doxed/public normies get involved with it. It can be cringe and they don't understand what they're doing. It isn't going to stop me from laughing and watching, just from participating

I think the main difference between mainstream journalism and kiwifarms is that people read and engage with kiwifarms.

Journalism is utterly dead now. There is no distinction between bylines and blog usernames. It's not even a profession any more, it's just a title people give themselves to scare others into thinking their opinions matter. Saying you are a journalist is like saying you are in mensa. It looks good on paper, but it's basically code for self righteous cunt.

I would laugh at that statement, but given this site's mantra of "Funny is funny and cringe is cringe, regardless of which side of the fence it's on", I don't think it's completely off base to say that KF does a better job at being objective than 95% percent of mainstream news sources. Such is the sad state of journalism, when a group of retards get together to laugh at even bigger retards and they somehow wind up being more reliable and more impartial than professional news outlets.

You know, thinking about it, I'm actually amazed at the restraint that YoREEEE showed in leaving Ralph's criminal record out of her hit piece. Yeah, it's obviously irrelevant to the story, but when has that ever stopped them?

I'm guessing she just did the minimal amount of work possible and didn't even know, as most of the top google results about Ralph before this mentioned his arrest.

Hardly, his hardcore audience (which is now in the thousands of live viewers) has followed him and he can still utilize guests for expanding his audience further. I think the real crux for the killstream though is discord. It is effectively the framework that the whole show runs off of since it's how the show currently happens and how they bring on guests and randos. That's actually where I would be more concerned almost than streaming or even twitter. There are always other streaming options to jump to (the issues of small native audiences being a given) and access to a lot of big names still on twitter can keep the spotlight on them. Discord goes down however? That's gonna be a real kick in the nuts. That's what I'd been using for killstream notifications for awhile now since youtube notifications are shit. Also as previously mentioned, it's effectively how they run the whole show. I'm not sure what they could do without it so I would place that as an extremely high priorty to find a backup to.

This community has same issue with biases and group think like any collection of individuals. There are certain topics here that are not approachable without people freaking out, just like any online community.

The only reason you, I, and anyone here don't see an issue with these biases is because as a member of this community, we don't see them. This website is not objective. It is not close to objective. It is not meant to be objective.

Any news article that makes someone that is deemed a SJW is taken here at face value as being true. Same with any article that is a negative piece on a minority.

Yet if it is an article that portrays an individual this community likes in a negative light, immediately the article is taken as MSM bullshit.

Let's not act like we are some sort of high minded, elite group of thinkers...we could only hope to one day reach the enlightenment of the Liberalists...

Never said it was. I said this site does a better job of maintaining an impartial mindset than a fair amount of news outlets. That's not me praising Kiwi Farms, that's me bemoaning the state journalism.

I was very struck by the hatred for the dalia lama a chinese american who grew up here but still spoke chinese and was a citizen of both who I was really close to had. I guess they didn't really hate him but what he stood for. I never got that perspective before, but it actually made a lot of sense. Really threw me for a loop as the guy comes of as infectiously nice and happy. The good thing about China is that they actually try to plan for the mid to long term future, even if they kinda suck at it often times.

Yeah I don't think a lot of people here realize what a gift this is for Ralph. It can stiffle his growth, but he can try to make ways around that. He has solidified a core audience who won't leave him of at least 1.5k and will do funny shit and make content for him. He also gets to be emperor Caesar of turd molehill, which all cows love. There are a couple other opportunities and upsides I'm sure including that all this attention came when he just began slipping a bit numbers and engagement wise.

Discord strikes me as fairly easy to make new accounts and servers for, but it would undoubtedly be a blow to lose. Losing it entirely would be worse than youtube I agree and losing a server would be worse than any one channel by far.
