IDK, we have long since known that being famous as a child drives people nuts; (Spears, Bynes, ect. as examples) that could be part of instigating the mental illness. Also, Cher was probably too busy with her career to pay much attention to all her kids, maybe it was the French nanny?

To be honest, bowl cuts should constitute as a crime against humanity.

Kids are very impressionable and easy to mold. No child knows about gender identity or pronouns unless it was specifically explained to them. Let them be kids first before you start putting really complex ideas into their heads, they're not really built to deal with it yet. And even if a boy happens to like playing with dolls, that doesn't mean they'll all turn trannies or gays later on in life. I really wish they'd stop pretending to be ~progressive~ when they encourage the gender roles just as much.

I'm reminded of an old Onion(?) headline to the effect of "Huge number of toddlers diagnosed with Cretaceous species dysphoria, identify as trans-dinosaurs." Kids fixate on things, it's part of learning. When narcissistic parents hook into that and start using it as a way to push their insane politics, it's almost guaranteed to be a shit-show.

It's really bizarre to me how many people shun their gay kids but suddenly accept them as the opposite sex. Even one of my family friends is like this.

Knowing that I have to wonder how many "trans women" and "trans men" out there aren't just rejected gay boys and butch chicks.

For crying out loud. No, psychological evaluation can and is a part of cissy surgeries too. It’s regomented when doing any larger cosmetic surgery like boob or nose job to ensure that people have realistic idea of results and that their reasons for surgery are mentally sound (dr Phil used to do this as a job before tv). Generally any elective surgery with possibly large consequences will involve some sort of a mental condition survey to find out if the surgery will improve the person’s life, have no effect or just help destroy it. Does this person really think that doctors will for example cut away a handicapped person’s legs so that they might be able to walk with leg implants without psychological assessment? Also in many more medical surgeries age alone is a factor if doctors will or won’t do a surgery. For example breast reduction surgery isn’t recommended till age of 21 to avoid issues from boobs being in active growing stage. Seriously trannies aren’t special in this regard at all.
