Eh. I give this art a pass. I don't automatically think that any character in a hijab is "forced diversity". If they wanted to make one so be it. I'll also be a bit optimistic and state that the art is honestly cute and harmless. Their have been plenty of humanizations of the MLP and these are miles better than what we usually see here. Hell, look at that Sans we just got a few pages earlier. It barely looks like a skeleton. At least here I know it's Fluttershy. Someone cared at least.

That being said the difference between SJW art isn't just "character in a hijab" or "character with slightly dark skin" no, no, no. You have to go above and beyond to be like that. Not just in how you present your art, but your behavior as well. If you don't have this standard every slight variation of artwork would be on this forum. I would honestly prefer more art like this MLP one because there is definitely potential.

Agreed. In comparison to most of the shit on this form, it really isn’t’ that bad and you can at least tell who the characters are supposed to be for the most part.

Even on max brightness I can just barely make out the features on his face.

It seems on tumblr that there are only two types of black/non-white people; Type A) are usually ashy and have an indeterminable shade of brown so that they could qualify as any darker race and Type B) are usually so dark that its near impossible to see any facial details, oft just solidly black or African-American appearing.

Both can also have skin diseases if the artist so chooses, to increase the woke points among the dermatitis crowd.

Rather amusing how the attempts made at being more inclusive end up being rather racist or dehumanize the characters into hideous, dark-skinned humanoids.

I also think that some type of unknown fetishism is involved as well. They try so so hard to make these characters appealing to the point where it becomes creepy. Like with the recent "controversy" with Ashe being introduced, the tumblrites get upset at Blizzard for not having a playable black heroine. I honestly think they want a character like that for creepy fetish shit and it shows. If guys make porn of her they're sexist, but its ok if a lesbian trans womyn does it.

And even if Blizzard makes that character it still wouldn't be enough. She wouldn't be fat enough or gay enough to please them.

Something similar happened to me as well, but I got called racist for it even though I'm a "POC".
