Nobody actually enjoys the Ghostbusters remake. They either "enjoy" it by getting drunk and laughing at how bad it is with friends, or in Lupa's case claim to enjoy it for political reasons.

Wouldn't count on that, really. Phelous might be apolitical in his public behaviour, but he's a liberal. He does take potshots at both sides of the political spectrum, but still his liberal views shine through.

Great... Now I can't take Lupa seriously as anything ever again. Just another day. To be fair, Good Bad or Bad Bad and Good Bad Flicks are doing her BS so much better now, anyway, so not surprised - just disappointed.

The tighter, snappier riffs and reviews a-la GBF and YMS seem to be pushing out long-form persona/character based stuff as a whole. I think it's telling that the new guard rarely if ever show their faces.

There's some irony that her most overtly political vids - the charmed series analysis (which are probably her best vids) had a bit of both-sides-ism in them. Baywatching and the show podcasts you could sometimes pick up politics if you listened close. Like... in baywatching it seems like every male/female interaction she reacts to in disgust (I guess the only acceptable way for men & women to meet & date is via the internet.) Still it was subtle and usually drowned out by things we could all agree on - like how awesome Newmie is or David Hasselhoff's hilarity.

I recall in one review she did of an obscure B film (and I know my B films and have never heard of this one) and got all offended over the villain raping and killing women off-screen. To be a fly on the wall if she had the balls to watch the entirety of I Spit On Your Grave or for that matter literally any Japanese Pink flick.
