Years back I was only tangentially aware of francis - I've grown to hate that kind of style of "heh im rarted and silly" comedy as it's a staple of unfunny tv in my country, thus I never cared much for his version of it, I did enjoy him basically being grown up eric cartman in a way. I started watching boogie because I was surprised by how well spoken he is in reality, compared to that character he apparently played. Even boogie himself is a gimmick, he's the comparatively wise counterpart to francis, who only showed up from time to time in between the "real" show, the comedy.

Now that Francis is just a total outdated sideshow with zero effort, all you really had for a few years now is just boogie himself. Imagine if all you got from Louie CK was 5% stand up and 95% him self pitying and meandering about politics and depression.

Boogie is still capable of very poetic vulgarity, if he just merged that humor with his IRL personality and gave some harsh takes on any topic he could really see a rise in something other than his cholesterol.

Amusingly he's not good at hard games and he's not good at casual games and he's not even good at Grave Ghoul pay to win games. In short he's terrible at games which makes his content perfect for streaming on Twitch.

The only thing he is marginally good at is inserting himself into the latest gaming controversy based on 10 minutes spent on Reddit. Thus we get his new Diablo video, the last time he did a video about Diablo was 6 years ago.

Just to vaguely show I'm not bullshitting for internet points.

He was okay, like completely unremarkable. Funny you call him a Boomer because I never heard him rage or anything but he did get pretty salty on several occasions in L4D Versus back in the day (especially when someone linked him to a Boomer skin with his face photoshopped on it.) Like there's really nothing interesting I can say about him. He wasn't a good player, he didn't get hilariously angry, he wasn't really that interesting to play with in general.

I remember him making a lot of pretty desperate attempts at banter which came off pretty cringy. He can't really be that funny unless the content is scripted, and even then it's questionable especially these days.

Really I don't know how he got popular as a gaming Youtuber/Streamer. I also recall a time when he really wanted us to come up with ideas for things that would be fun to put on his channel while other people just wanted to chill and play.

And yeah, he was a completely unremarkable Wrath baby in WoW. Wasn't a high level raider or PvPer even though I've heard him claim he was and joke about how much time he lost to the game, in reality he was pretty bottom tier. All I can say about him as a gamer is "standard" which isn't really a bad thing to be unless you're a popular streamer.

People have talked a lot about his laziness in general and I think his rampant grammar and spelling mistakes back this up. The terrible content and losing weight things are somewhat understandable, as a decent amount of effort is needed to fix those. But it takes like literally no effort to check your spelling before you post shit on twitter. Not to mention the pathetic effort put into his and Grave Ghouls patreon, it's like you gave a fifth-grader a project when he wanted to go outside and play (or in this case probably eat pizza and cake). I remember watching some of the clips saved and being technically a Boomer (age 36), I can play MMOs far better (for example, Elder Scrolls Online) than this blob who calls himself a gamer. His Patreon now has the lowest number of patrons ever. Of course new Patreons take a few months to establish how many are really interested at throwing their money away:

As for The Grave Ghoul his "I do social media and I make a killing" has so far only gotten her (and her kid) 20 patrons.
