The best he’s done was he apparently went on their stream today to mouth some stuff about how they shouldn’t harass people. But they’re still his mods. He’s still finding their antics funny. And he still doesn’t see the hypocrisy of “Must stop Clown’s discord server. Must not try to police harassing LARPer fanboys” He hasn’t disassociated at all. I don’t think anything short of one of them actually doxing someone & him being shown the proof will get him to. They act in his best interest without him needing to direct them. Great. That is going to make everything so much better and solve the issue. Honestly, I can't help but wonder if some of this is the result of the IGG Vox Day deplatforming leaving EVS shook that even that site isn't safe for CG, him being somewhat salty about Nerkish bringing up his less than complementary opinion on the CyberFrog comic when asked on streams, or a combo of both? Either way, I do hope the book will actually be good story-wise if it releases on time.

He was gaining so many subs because he was putting out short daily videos shitting on Star Wars 'garbage tier' media shills and terrible Star Wars toys. He was doing this in the lead up to Solo's movie release which was widely known to have major production issues and was dropping a short time after a very divisive film that was hated by the fan base. After Solo's release his channel growth plummets as Star Wars publicity shrinks and he starts more live-streams.

I haven't watched the debate tonight and probably won't get around to it for a while, but from everybody's description it sounds like he is becoming Sargon. Overinflated ego, gay ops capos, hypocrisy up the wazoo and over estimated intelligence from prior debates with bigger idiots.

The truth is that even if the rumors are totally false and they aren't running gay ops, what you have is an unfunny, obnoxious group of super-fans that harass people on twitter and spam annoying all caps bullshit during his livestreams. They are an irritating group of shit-heads that are driving people away, even if they aren't doing anything nefarious.

Allowing an annoying clique of super-fans to run roughshod over the rest of your audience? that's real dumb on his part.

I readily admit my investment but you’re not wrong in the slightest. As much as I am invested, I can’t control anything in it. At this point in time, EVS has practically burned every single bridge he had in the professional comics community with his behavior and antics, and I'd imagine even his older close collaborators who put up with his opinions (like Geoff Johns) want absolutely nothing to do with him anymore. Even if he could get back in with DC when all this blows up in his face and he crashes and burns to a point where he's licking his wounds and going back to them begging for work, such an announcement would be a PR nightmare for them. In which case, he could always see if Jordan Peterson needs more illustrations done for his books, I suppose.

And that's really what's at heart of all this is EVS inability to work in his chosen field. He knows he can't get work anywhere else. That's why he's basically co-opted Comicsgate, aggressively. And even if the Warcampaign guys have or haven't done any gay ops, you have to believe he's at least tacitly encouraged them. It's really perfect for him because he has plausible deniability; they go after suspected alt-righters for him and this frees them up to fuck with whoever they don't like as well; heck they're literally his gatekeepers:
