Most shameful game purchase

Not that it's a bad game, but I was so embarrassed to be 24 years old at the time buying a game with Sonics name on it in a Toys R Us (Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed) that I claimed my college classmate with me at the time was my brother and had autism and I was getting it for him.

That's hilarious. Good game though.

Dead or Alive beach volleyball. I thought how cool boobs and anime girls were and found out it was an actual volleyball game where you dressed up the girls in outfits and accessories and have girl day at the beach.

The boobs were pretty sweet though.

Two Worlds 1 and 2 for 360. I knew they were bad going in, but wanted to see how bad they were. The answer is: REALLY fucking bad. The first one would skip cut scenes or freeze trying to play them. I ended up watching the cut scenes on youtube, and like the rest of the game they sucked.

The second one was slightly better, and would actually go through brief periods where I forgot how terrible it was.

Oh man I bought two worlds too, although I did manage to have fun running around taking in the camp and just ignoring the abysmal story completely

Oh shit yeah I forgot I got Two Worlds II with the pre-order bonus, had that one pushed pretty far into the back of my mind.

I bought that one as well, even pre-ordered it, just because of the brilliant E3 reveal/trolling.
Everyone was certain that they would announce Dead or Alive 4 and on stage they started talking about the next entry in the DOA series and the continuation of the story... then they revealed DOAX, the honest-to-god canonical sequel to DOA3, where the story is that Zack won the DOA3 tournament and with that money he bought a remote tropical island and built some luxury facilities on it. Then he sent out fake invitations to the DOA4 tournament, but only to the ladies, who then show up to fight. It was all a ruse though so they just hang around until the boat/plane comes back.

The story in the game is pretty meta in that it reflects the story of the game itself and the E3 reveal, people thought they were going to see DOA4 but instead they saw a game where the characters thought they were going to be in DOA4.

It was the funniest troll ever back then, it made me laugh so hard and people were LOSING THEIR MINDS! It was like the current Diablo debacle but 100% intentional!

10/10, would laugh and pre-order again.

I bought All-Star Battle for 50-60$ on the day it came out and looking back on the monotonous gameplay and the grinding to get all the costumes, I realized it wasn't worth it.

Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII but on sale with the power up kit. The reason why is I love XI but Koei is too lazy anymore to put a good product and doesn't deserve money but I love the series and wanted a new game.

I wasted $60 for Battlefield 1. And I don't know why. I played too much of BF3 in high school, it truly was one of my favorite games. I would get home, hit up the boys, play 24/7 opmetro conquest and Caspian border. One of my buds even got a 3-man mortar kill in metro once, we still talk about that to this day. And then BF4. Yeah it sucked absolute dog penis ( I know some sick fucks might even like that) when it released, but after a year of patching and multiple DLCs it became one of my favorites again. I mean once the pitiful network was fixed and the numerous bugs patched it was a true through and through Battlefield game that anyone could be proud to own. But then Hardline came out and it was a disappointment, maybe not because of the gameplay ( although it did lack A LOT of what made Battlefield, Battlefield) I didn't like the cops and robber theme. And then BF1 I bought, I played, I regret spending the 60 dollars enabling EA and Dice to make their empty shell of a game. Thankfully i'm on the upswing, I didn't buy BFV and don't watch anything of it on YT. So yeah, that's my biggest video game waste.
