@ExceptionallyExceptional

Well let's look at the list/general features these people have in common (think there was a good list on the skeptic community thread)

1) A-religious? Check
2) Anti-conservative? Check
3) Anti-PC (the vast majority of these people are most of the time , so I'll include it)? Check
4) Generally has no or very few general (that is held by others) beliefs, morals, and standards they abide by? Check
5) Wannabe pseudo-intellectual online critic that barely knows what he or she is talking about? Check
6) Regularly spergs? Check
7) Fairly unlikable? Check
8.) Regularly hangs out with other people that fit the most of the above description'? Check

He pretty much fits the definition to the T.
Apart from the anti-conservative how doesn't this apply to Jim, Ralph, JF, etc?

Number 5 for a start. Jim doesn't even try to pretend he's an intellectual, and both JF and Ralph actually have degrees in the fields they talk about which is substantially more credentials than most of their adversaries.

And anyway, almost everyone on the internet is only 1 or 2 of the points away from representing the entire list.

All of them (Shaun&Jen, Mister Metokur, The Quartering, Alt Hypothesis, etc.) are part of the larger "commentary community" so they have more things in common than they'd like to admit. I think Retsupurae was its pioneer.

As for the skeptic style: overanalyze/nitpick something a deranged leftist said (20 minute videos are the average) and sneak a few BAZINGAs! here and there. Done. You're one of Sargon's stepchildren now.

@ddlloo Pretty much what this user said though I personally don't find Ralph and Jim to be unlikable or even regular spergs either. I tend to cut Ralph a bit of slack on the latter because of the booze, but then again, his tangents can be pretty funny, like Andy, which makes him likable. I can't vouch for all the other criterion nor can I vouch for JF since I don't follow his content at all.

I think that list is a bit too big, I'd cut it down to this:

1) Generally has no or very few general (that is held by others) beliefs, morals, and standards they abide by? Check
2) Wannabe pseudo-intellectual online critic that barely knows what he or she is talking about? Check
3) Regularly spergs? Check
4) Fairly unlikable? Check

Sure, this would include religious/conservative people as well, but is there really a big difference between sperging Christian and sperging Atheist? Plus I think that them not having moral/any standards that they abide by automatically makes things like "Anti-PC" irrelevant because they'll easily switch their opinion if it is beneficial to them.

For example, wasn't Sargon's white niggers comment triggered by Alt-Right trolling him and him suddenly starting to care about how people interact with him? When years ago he'd shit on feminists for being upset about how people treat them?

This is partly why people despise that guy. He smugly mocks feminists for behavior like this, but when his ox is gored he acts like the most triggered of tumblrinas.

As boring as this feud is, it was started by these "skeptic" spastics acting like a swarm of angry NPCs because Jim wouldn't turn from a video shitposter into some kind of skeptic super soldier to push their bullshit agenda.

I think the candid thing really is at the heart of this. That wasn't just ex-gamergate people not disclosing the sponsorship, but helping a company train AI to be better able to censor and turning on harmful opinions for speaking the truth about it and getting him removed off youtube.

And getting a paid a shitload of money to do it.

drive jim away from youtube by collectively acting so autistic that he gets burned out while trying to cover all of it?
doesn't sound like a very convincing plan tbh fam

I don't think it's an attempt to distract Jim. Rather that Jim has a lot of enemies on a united front, and even if Sargon isn't directly responsible for the twitter, it's a benefit to him to try and psyche Jim out. Jim makes a majority of revenue from streaming, and whoever is pulling the strings is trying to get channels booted from youtube, it could be Sargon, or Trout or Shitratt, or any of them working in conjuction to try and get Jim off the platform. Andy has been targetted as well as Ralph, and both have gone to Stream.me.

Now I don't think Jim will migrate completely, but with him streaming on the new site, it means less competition, less cross contamination, and less access to new audiences. It also will give whoever is trying to arrange this another avenue of attack, as they can turn around and alert their journalist cronies to the fact that the biggest streamers on Stream.me are "Muh Evil Alt-Right" and start attacking the revenue of the site, the same way that the MSM has attacked other sites recently.

Anyways it is just a theory, we will see once Jim migrates over, what happens.

I didn't think "skeptic" was something people were self-identifying as. I always thought it was an assigned term, like SJW, that we were giving to these right-leaning atheist types.

I think the hsitory behind it was atheist or skeptical youtubers took on the creationist youtube community in the early haydays, then Atheism + happened and the more centrist commentators started commentaries on them and the other SJW's, thus dividing themselves into a camp that the SJW's started calling the skeptics. It was more of a categorisation than an actual grouping, and I've never heard of anyone outside of the small fries who cling onto Sargon or Krout & Warski before his heel turn refering to themselves as part of the Skeptic community, even though they fall in that category.

"Bachelor’s Degree, Political Science" for Ralph.

@GranDuke I don't think the original comment was made to troll the alt-right which isn't to see he doesn't try using it to do so later. If I'm not mistaken the comment came from a stream with Michelle Catlin was it? Who is supposed to be some conservative Dutch transvestite? I have no idea, but I believe that's where it came from and I think he just threw it out there more out of anger than anything.

I gotta say, I don't really get what the end game to this is either. I mean this whole sargon thing was fun at first, but now the Jim vs the Skeptics arc is starting to become a 100 episode Naruto filler arc. I'm starting to lose interest as well.

It does get a bit repetitive. As much as I enjoy Jim's content, he does have a tendency to beat a dead horse. This is especially noticeable when someone has attacked him. He just cannot seem to let go. While the lulz are much appreciated, there are other cows to skin.

Yup. Dick Masterson has done some funny rants on the Killstream but I don't listen to his show because it seems like he spends all his time shitting on Maddox.

Maddox is a weird dude but I don't really care about him either way, so it's hard to work up an interest in what happens to him. Hearing Jim beat on Sargon week after week is going to get dull.

After it's not like Sargon is someone like Kero who basically needs to be in prison. Sargon is a NEET who convinced himself he was a political genius like his chosen moniker and it's honestly depressing watching him realise that Spencer was right - he's not as smart as he thinks he is. And definitely not smart enough to be able to make a difference in politics. He's going to burn himself to the ground if he spends his time flinging shit at Jim and co.

Michelle Catlin is a Dutch Propertarian tranny, not so much a transvestite. Propertarianism is its own rabbit hole but it's kin to Libertarianism; Propertarianism is also arguably post-Libertarian in its critique of the NAP and its explicit embrace of Aristocracy. Like any family tree of related ideologies, the distinctions can be extremely subtle and the fights over them are extremely pedantic (or autistic if you prefer) but if you want the quick rundown search for Eli Harman's Propertarianism: Core Concepts for Libertarians.

It would be a lot more funny if it were a joke like The Colbert Report's Who's Attacking Me Now? segment. He is putting Sargon "on notice" with complete sincerity.

There's a good chance thats the case, the reason Braving Ruin got driven off was because Kraut pulled off a couple psy-ops on him that actually worked for once. Also Sargon's new tactic, as poorly done as it is, is in a similar vein. Make a threat feel real enough to provoke a response or overwhelm someone with paranoia. This is the attempt, but I very seriously doubt Sargon has the competency to do it, if for no other reason than he's transparent about it.

"Jim's real name is Brian"

Is Sargon actually in denial over the O'Furniture dox too?
