I just got through the whole video that kid made. I stopped watching h3 when he started to make a cycle of videos explaining why he wasn't making videos but was still doing the podcast. I always found the podcast tedious to watch because of him interrupting their guests, or just being outright cringy.

It's something I've never really thought about, but as that kid pointed out in the video look at the sponsorship deals the podcast is getting.

Gotta make them shekels!

For me whether or not Ethan is lolcow material or not is pretty irrelevant, rather it all feels more like a slippery slope towards just mediocrity. Yes we get it, youtube ad revenue compared to the podcast may be awful, but he has also shown himself to be a lying backstabbing cunt under the lovable persona which really makes you question his genuineness, something he was sorta the embodiment off, calling out the awful prank channels and all that, but nowadays it's just...eh is all I can say about it. Considering how its going right now it is showing some troubling signs towards a truly exceptional incident.
Watched that hour and a half long h3h3 video yesterday, and man, I don really know what to think to be honest. Just with the mobile game an all, seems like he's becoming the thing he was arguing against, man why does it feel like everyone sorta internet famous goes down this path? Towards just mediocrity and losing touch what made them big in the first place.

Also, you guys need to stop sidetracking so much about Joji, FilthyFrank and Cr1tikal.
I understand people mentioning Joji, Ethan used to associate with him bunches. He was an essential part of the same posse he was in, along with iDubbbz and those guys. It's for contextual reasons more than anything. Same goes for Charlie, but to a lesser extent.

Speaking of Critikal, Ethan was on The Official Podcast. If anyone wants to comb through and find anything of note Ethan may have said or brought up, go for it:

H3H3s content was always on the edge for me. On one hand I was going through my anti cringe phaze and H3H3 provided. On the other hand his videos never felt genuine and he was absolutely atrocious at acting. You could always tell that he was being disingenuous in his videos. The ONLY thing that saved his earlier videos was the editing (I'm guessing this is all thanks to Hila). When he made the Vape Nation video that sealed the deal. It was so painfully unfunny and re.tarded that I unsubbed. You can talk about how it was all a joke and 'ironic' but if you are pretending to be re.tarded all the fucking time, are you really pretending anymore?

I feel like people want H3H3 to go back to making content like Vape Nation or Hugh Mungus but let me remind you, when they made Vape Nation 2 it was a shill video.

i think it's more that they suck at doing the podcast and they were kinda good at doing reaction videos and other dumb and kind of degrading shit. it's not impossible to switch up your content dramatically (look at PDP) but still retain your audience. you just cant suck at it.

Ethan can't help but follow a script, even when it means interrupting a guest multiple times. He doesn't have the skill to just sit back and chill or even to realise when to drop a line of questioning.

Dunno what changed, but I got tired of Ethan whenever he became a moral arbiter despite clearly not having much of a grasp on the topics he brings up. Hila is almost a non-entity, I don't remember her contributing anything but smiling and agreeing.

that's another issue. nobody gives a shit about what ethan thinks about anything. he's woefully uninformed about most stuff he talks about. it's not even just that he's changed his comedic style for one that he can't hack, but he's basically abandoned comedy altogether to be a shitty interviewer.

The Internet Comment Etiquette dude and Jacksfilms’ involvement with Ethan is kind of questionable. Neither of them are that particularly funny or interesting on their own and all they really ever do on the podcast is suck Ethan’s cock while agreeing with everything he says. What are they even supposed to be to him? Yes Men?

Ethan has always been bland, recycled garbage, and riding off of drama is his thing. He's quick to stab others in the back, and he really doesn't deserve the fame he has. If he were to actually put effort into his main channel, rather than focus on his podcast, he'd probably be making somewhat mediocre content.(But lets be honest here, he probably wouldn't.) He surrounds himself with people who'll only stroke his own ego, and i'm just hoping that the people around him will realize he's a big piss baby

Yes

It would be hilarious to see more popular youtubers cannibalize him like the community has done to so many others.

In other news I remember they have a blog channel here https://www.youtube.com/user/h2h2productions/videos

I don't remember which video but sometime after they moved to New York Ethan was bitching about his shitty financial situation and blamed everyone and everything else on it except himself for moving to New York.

I think h3h3’s content started going down the drain 1. when Hila got more involved. I don’t have anything against her, but she has 0 chops for comedy and basically never contributed during the Ethan and Hila phase. And 2. when Ethan decided he was ‘too big’ to go after other people, as if Pewdiepie, with 70 million subs, doesn’t find weird shit to react to all the time. I can only think of one or two people who got incredibly mad at him for that.

Sounds like when a girl will surround herself with uglier friends to boost her own perceived attractiveness.

H3H3 was popular? I saw his name come on quite a bit, but I never much bothered to look into him beyond one video that left me incredibly bored. The only reason I even know of him was when Filthy Frank did a few videos together with the guy and it was always so painfully awkward. Not in the "PRANKD" intentional awkwardness Joji created, but the genuine kind that feels like Ethan only did that stuff because of the guy's viewcount, despite how weirded out he was by the comedy.

It really makes me wonder why he decided to up and fuck off to some stupid podcast if he was doing well for himself on YouTube. He clearly wants to keep creating content if he's still on the podcast and, if he really doesn't want to make videos anymore, why not just tell everyone outright instead of making them hold their breaths? I don't really count seven videos vomiting apologies and excuses as to why his production "slowed down". Lastly: "Depression". Goddamnit. When are people going to stop thinking depression is a good justification for being a lazy sack of shit? It's not the same thing.

I never cared about h3h3 too much but I'm not sure if he's a lolcow. With the exception of the Bill Burr podcast (which was exceptionally entertaining due to how bad it was), he seems like a mundane Youtuber that peaked years ago and is slowly fading out. Doesn't strike me out as something out of the ordinary.

Also maybe I feel this way because I'm not American, but I don't get the nigger/pewdiepie drama. idubz & Ethan seem to use "nigger" for its shock value, whereas Pewdiepie used is as a direct insult. I don't think it's wrong for h3h3 to make a statement about that even if pewdiepie rightfully apologized.
