Furry Fandom and Drama General

This is more of the spergings of a furry than drama but: a furry goes on a long ass tangent on how a cartoon about 4 boys in Colorado gave a rise to fascism. It's length could rival the tweet chains moviebob made and if it were a forum post, it could rival the long post autism of @Jaimas.

The old-Vivisector crew thinks literally everything is fascist? Shocking.

What is with people consistently always whining about stuff that is legitimately made to get them riled up in the first place? Is it hard to see past the obvious satire and take a joke?

ALTERNATIVELY, "Growly Explains it All"

Except, of course, for the deleted tweet Renn alledgedly put out to get the con stolen from him. Or what it was that happened at Denfur aside from Foxler getting shown the door. As much as I dread furry drama, I would like to know what Renn said, but that's never gonna see the light of day.

Thanks I needed a reminder to post this:

TL;DR - Renn insisted that Furry Youtubers, well the "top" ones, had some sort of "mental health issues". Furry YouTubers proceeded to get assblasted on this (Word on the street is that straw ball Majira was SUPER blasted) and Treble confronted Renn on this, who apparently doubled down, but then some time later backpedaled and deleted the tweet.

This is also the same document Growly referenced in his "explains it all" tweet where Treble goes on to talk about how, "These are things that as chairs of an event, we don't post. Once, Twice, 10 times. Our personal opinions on 90% of things can't be posted." Growly feels that Treble was walking back on this as he made the "Threat Tweet" against him and referencing that he was a pedophile.

I mean, this is Furry YouTubers vs. Pedophiles, so you can imagine Growly'd have an uphill battle with that.

Still, I've heard word on the street that Treble himself isn't the shining example of PR he's built himself to be...but that's hearsay. I haven't seen any screen caps or logs to verify this as of yet.

That's new information to me. Also, Growly put up a series of voice messages in one of the Telegram groups where he talked about being 'part of the setting up crew' whose 'convention was stolen from them by non-SoCal furries'. I really need to upload those to YouTube or SoundCloud.

Yeah I've been hearing that narrative myself. Which given the above links we can see where they're coming from with that - not saying I agree or disagree, but we at least have something of an idea where that comes from, given that Treble isn't from SoCal.

> South Park is responsible for the rise of fascism

giphy.gif
For this furry sperg, being republican or what he perceives as republican equals facist, even though South Park does all it can to take a piss on all sides.

The old-Vivisector crew thinks literally everything is fascist? Shocking.
This furry was a part of Vivisector, one may as well see what its other members have sperged over.

They likely have a spine made of straw when a work mocks something that can rile up the spergs. Even then, this guy would likely say it didn't stop the show from making republicans. While South Park Republican is a term from the early 2000's, Wikipedia sums it up as "fiscally conservative, socially liberal or moderate" but that's likely too fascist for this furry.

This just slays me. Having your con staff being not from the area, inaugural, veteran, setup, whatever, is not a bad thing. If you're starting a new con and you're smart about it, you're inviting some folks to help you out who have experience from other cons, regardless of where they live. Their experience strengthens your first con and makes it look more put-together from the outright.

SoCal furs, in general, sound like such a shitshow.

You would think a veteran like Growly would know this.

That was the idea initially. Treble was brought in to help out Renn with the more financial/business side of things, but Renn and some of his friends feel that Treble made a power grab by making him step down as vice-chair because he triggered Majira and the other furry 'tubers.

The furry community has a message for the rest of the world: Their culture is not about sex.
In fact, people in the furry community are largely annoyed about how their community has generally been portrayed by mainstream media outlets.
Most feel like depictions of sexual fetishists wearing furry costumes and cavorting at wild parties are inaccurate and downright unfair, say experts.

Send your 'experts' to KiwiFarms it's much worse than you think.

This goes back to furries lacking any sort of self-awareness. When you're starting a con, and you want to have a furry YouTuber as GOH, the last thing you'd want to do is do or say anything that might trigger them. Especially when the people you're bringing in have far more money than you do to run things, which isn't a lot knowing most of the fandom.

Got some shit on NaomiRomeroArt/Anxiety Fox from ~Japanese Furries~ on Line.

TLDR version, having 20k+ followers means rules don't apply and you can rig a lottery if you beg the day before.

Mochiri Works announces commissions for new fursuits, including 2 slots for people to submit their own original designs. This is the first time she's accepted designs from other people on a global scale, so obviously a lot of people are planning to apply.
Tweet archive: https://archive.fo/RBk0l

She adds a tweet (3rd one down on the archive) to clearly indicate she cannot make characters based on copyright, which she's elaborated on the last time she opened commissions clearly stating:

・Characters that resemble anime characters will not be accepted.
Furaffinity archive: https://archive.fo/CoCHV

This is mostly due to Japan having a huge faux par about copyrights and doujin artists etc. getting into shit for it. In Mochiri's defence she genuinely might not have realized as she's never expressed an interest in anime. Naomi may very well have just pulled the wool over her eyes.

The day before the commissions are due to open Naomi Romero visits Mochiri in person and makes purchases from her booth at Design Fes.

Twitter: https://archive.is/fAygi

Commissions open and Mochiri is flooded with applications, she confirms that the winners will be chosen by lottery.
Same link as before scroll down: https://archive.fo/RBk0l

The winners are chosen and Naomi is one of the winners, no surprise there. She creates an account for her new fursuit, one named Hero that is the spitting image of her furry art of Deku from Boku no Hero Academia. Not even subtle, a straight up copyright character. So not only does she manage to "win" a lottery against hundreds of other applicants, but her character is accepted despite being against Mochiri's terms and conditions.

Account: https://archive.is/EU9Bi

Proof she claims the character is Deku and this isn't a co-incidence: https://archive.is/QwUwy

Japanese users start flipping their shit at how she gets to break the rules, mostly among themselves but a few take it to her newly created fursuit account. Unfortunately most of them got suspended and the kemono_hero account even got suspended for a short while. There was another person today who I managed to archive when I thought "shit i should probably cap this" but I actually didn't expect it to keep going.
https://archive.is/DzLwf

I'm not gonna bother posting the Line caps over them being upset and discussing it because there's the hard facts, but some of them are threatening to throw stuff over the suit if they see it at a con and lots of racist foreigner weeaboo comments. Fun times.

Edit: I should point out that it's not even salt over not getting a slot, some of the people involved actually own Mochiri suits (or worse, KLine).
