It is easy answer, but nothing else really makes sense to me.
Sure, we have theories about how these companies are driven by left wing ideology, but if that was the case... they would have banned/dropped everyone months ago. For example, if I was SJW Youtube and I thought that someone like Sargon is actually a problem... I'd simply remove him with some made up excuse.
To me it feels like they don't care and start doing something only when mainstream media starts screaming about something.
The company culture will be informed by the people who run it. Therefore if you have a for profit company, but have a management class that has been educated in, and highly sympathetic to left wing causes then it can't help but create a biased culture towards one sort of context creator versus another.
I'm sure there are many people at Youtube who would love to kick all the evil Nazi's off their platform, and wouldn't give it a second thought.
The issue with that is though is that it wouldn't escape the notice of people who paying attention to these things would turn around and start to push for either change or approach government to investigate as well, which is the last thing these companies want. So a purge ala Alex Jones style but on a mass scale is out of the question.
Instead it is better for Youtube to let the social climbers at various online and offline publications do the work for them. Yes it's a slower process, but at the same time they can argue that they aren't 'biased' Jack Conte style, while removing anyone who catches the ire of a large scale publication, or make changes under the excuse that it was a necessary evil to remove toxicity off of the platform.
If you think about it, look at what the recent issue with censoring superchats and flagging live stream content to get channels take down has been doing. You have either people like Jim looking to migrate from the platform because the proverbial writing is on the wall, or you had people taking down the streams and migrating them to other channels, or changing the nature of what they can and will talk about. At the same time they don't need to police as much as you would think, because with the SJW flagging brigades on Youtube as well, they will actively be pursuing your right leaning 'Muh evil internet Nazi's' and you again have people self censoring what they say or report on.
I can't recall where I read it, but there was an interesting theory that the adpocalypse was something that Google knew was going to come beforehand. While it cost them a lot of money in the short term, it allowed them more sweeping rules in terms of removals, demonetization, and deletion or putting channels in limited state. Therefore meaning they could clean up their platform.
Conspiratorial, yes, but when you think of all of the money and long term exchanges that have been put in place between Youtube in terms of propping up and favoring MSM outlets and channels with algorithm manipulation, and also the fact that Youtube is trying to make itself a more corporate friendly to other large media outlets.
