I'm pretty sure most people would consider the majority of these values (at the very least) not even close to being American. Besides, if anyone was to actually fly this as a flag anywhere all they'd get is just laughs at how much this really just fucks up the American flag for the political gain of whoever is flying it.

The difference I could believe the spin a bit with Bush because he comes off as not the sharpest knife in the drawer, so making him look dumb isn't too hard. Plus he had a vice president that looked like the type of man who would strangle babies for immortality, so having Cheney be the actual bad guy was quite easy to do. The spinners could also keep minimal amounts of composure as well back then due to how easy it is to spork those two, so they didn't look as cynical or screechingly insane as now.

I've thought a bit more about that flag meme, and I've concluded that the key words are: "In Our America".

I'd bet decent money that a lot of people who signal approval of that meme believe in magick - and spell it that way. They think that if they will something really hard, it will happen. Such a belief is merely refined narcissism.

They don't worry about the facts, which, in classic Rousseau fashion, they deem irrelevant to the question. They just wish real hard, and assert, and demand.

If I'm right, then they won't be responsive to practical objections. They'll just keep wishing and demanding.
