Luigi thank you for your kind words.
I did try to be a friend to him and help him with day to day situations like bus schedules, etc. I admit I was shocked how he could turn ugly and say such disgusting things when there was no reason to. I had to learn he didn't need to be provoked and was his mental illnesses that made him snap.

The Kimberly situations are odd.He has a thing for brunette women from Canada named Kimberly. This might also stem from his odd love for Shania Twain.
He found a few ladies on Facebook and would try to get dates and became friends with some until they discovered how odd he really is like when one wasn't returning texts or calls he phoned the police that one was either held hostage or dead and please go to her. They went storming in this young womans home to find her and family fine but now scared shitless from them storming in. He then had his local police and Canadian police tell him straight up he committed a crime with making a false report and that he could be charged next time.

So he actually, honest-to-god swatted someone? We all know how that can turn out...

Honest to God yes!
He honestly thought the Von Wolf Demon had her hostage or killed her and began his "raising her from the dead" prayer but never heard from her so he called the cops!

Update

He has not been bailed out as of this afternoon. His bail was raised from
$7,500 to $30,000 as of yesterday at his first court appearance.
I don't know if his mother refused or couldn't afford the new bail.
It now appears there will be no new news until his next court date of December 6th unless the police report becomes public record or a newspaper reports the story.

Usually bail is made by putting up assets. Depending on the bail bond agency they may require twice as much, or more, in asset value before they post the bond.

Hate to say it but I doubt a tired, sick woman will be able to bail him out.

TBH it's probably for the better. John would likely skip out on his hearing and end up with a bench warrant.

There's no probably about it. John has come unhinged. Either we watch this thread go dark because he goes to jail or we watch this thread go dark because he ends up dead by his own crazy or someone else reacting to it.

I'm deep down not a monster so I'd prefer this.

I am speechless upon finding this article posted about half an hour ago. Here is the explanation of his arrest.
He must have totally snapped and then was feeling "happy" enough to pose for his mug shot.

Two surprising things about this article;

1) They make no mention that he's a convicted sex offender. That's usually in the headline or byline of any article when one is involved for click bait.

2) They make no mention that his house was filled with disturbing pornographic scrap books and affirmations.

I'm guessing the article is based on the report, and those two facts aren't relevant to the situation at hand.

Probably the writers didn't do any research past the current charge sheet/police press release, and cops only passed on limited info, not a full description of his house, his criminal record etc.

Bulla is obviously unhinged but I wonder if looking at hardcore porn at the motel pushed him over the edge.

I don't know if he had internet right before the crime, but he did in the past (giving access to way more hardcore porn than hotel pay-per-view) and didn't charge at kids with knives. He's seemed like he's been hyping up the crazy for a while now, before the hotel stuff.

ANNIE BLANKS | PENSACOLA NEWS JOURNAL | 3 hours ago

A Pensacola man faces three felony charges after authorities say he made a homemade knife necklace and charged at his neighbor and his neighbor's young children with knives.

John Stephen Bulla, 64, was arrested Wednesday at his home on Amber Street. Bulla's neighbor told deputies that earlier in the morning, he heard a commotion outside and went to see what it was, and his two children followed him outside.

That's when the neighbor saw Bulla standing outside wearing a "handmade knife necklace" and holding a knife in both hands, according to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office arrest report.

The neighbor told Bulla he was making too much noise early in the morning and he needed to go inside or the neighbor would call 911, the report said. Bulla then allegedly told him, "If you call the cops, I will kill you," and ran at him, holding a knife above his head as if he was going to swing it at the neighbor.

The neighbor told deputies he pushed his kids inside the door, followed them inside and locked the door. He said Bulla continued to yell outside his door for many minutes while he called 911.

Deputies went to Bulla's home, but he refused to come to the door and shouted he "had a knife and a hammer and he would kill anyone who came inside his residence," according to the report. The deputies were eventually able to make contact with the man on the phone and encouraged him to come outside slowly without any weapons. He was eventually detained.

Inside the home, deputies allegedly found a handmade knife necklace, a hammer and a kitchen knife on a carabiner with a box cutter attached.

Bulla was charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of felony child cruelty.

He's being held in the Escambia County Jail on $30,000 bond

Yeah, sounds about like the kind of craziness that would get him locked up. I'm betting the adults in question will push to have him given as much time as possible, too... they probably don't want him living anywhere near them.

You say that like that's ever mattered in news media since the internet came to be.

If it was in the arrest report they would have mentioned it but they'd have no way of knowing otherwise unless they did some actual journalism and talked to the officers (or someone else that was actually in his house) involved. They don't have the investigative methods that kiwifarms has }:P

The initial paperwork is usually just enough to establish probable cause for arrest, so it's 'just the facts' that fit the charges in question. There will probably be a longer narrative(s) of the investigation that hopefully gets released at some point once it's been reviewed.

Well I guess that's another inactive thread then. I doubt he'll be out anytime soon. Dude has established beyond doubt that he's unstable and a danger to those around him. I doubt jail will calm him down either. At least he'll be put on antipsychotics, I guess.

He shouldn't be really in jail and this shouldn't ever have escalated this far (him being put in an institution much earlier) but yeah..
