Twitter kicked Laura Loomer off its platform permanently Wednesday, making her the latest conservative media figure to be banned from the site. “This is not going to be the end of Laura Loomer,” the far-right activist told The Daily Beast. Loomer said she was banned over a tweet calling newly elected Rep. Loomer, who had more than 250,000 followers on Twitter and is still on Facebook and Instagram, claimed the ban would make her a “martyr for the cause.” “I am sure Trump is going to get wind of this,” she said. Loomer shot to fame in pro-Trump circles last year after disrupting a New York performance of Julius Caesar that featured a Trump lookalike getting stabbed. I'm no defender of Boomer Loomer but where exactly was the TOS violation? Trump already knows that Twitter persecutes conservatives, at best his reaction is "Ah, another one huh." She should take a hint from Milo and consider it a blessing. As one of the many Twitter users who was banned the day Trump won the election, I have to say, Twitter is a waste of time anyways.

Not to go on a tangent but the "quiet" interference of social media and how they manipulate their userbase is horrifying. Reddit is perhaps worse than twitter; who knows how the upvote/downvote algorithm really works since they hid the numbers (hint: they didn't do it because of spam, like they said they did), and we know the admins are very anti-Trump to the point where the_donald shitposts were barred from the frontpage while socialist shit memes regularly make it there and similar bernie memes were getting on there before the_donald came into the picture. Reddit admins worked with moderators behind the scenes in slack to position mods they favored into high positions on high-trafficed subreddits like /r/politics. Reddit's culture was entirely different earlier on, and you'd have to be an idiot to think it's a coincidence the userbase shifted hard left when the admins did.

Social media tries to act like it's organic, user-generated but in reality it's all being manipulated by these companies to control what you think.

Conservatives just need to realize that these platforms are hostile to them (which they do obviously) and STOP USING THEM and start really focusing on their wrongdoings. I'd love to see shit like twitter and reddit destroyed and the internet return to the days of forum communities like this one, but people like Loomer are too stupid to figure out how social media manipulates people.

Wouldn't surprise me if she ran to Andrew Torba (if she hasn't already) and demand that it is either her or all of the unironic internet Nazis that are festering on gab.ai.

Also the internet Nazis have a point. She did jack shit for them when it was their asses who were getting purged on Twitter and now a year or two later she is asking for sympathy and hoping that she turns gab into her own personal army.

Any way it turns out, if it isn't sinking into her already, running to gab is a big mistake on her part.

That's whats kind of interesting. So Gab is failing, and Torba can't collect money from pro accounts due to payment processors like Stripe and PayPal blacklisting Gab. All of the sudden people like Ann Coulter and Laura Loomer are joining the site, conveniently in time for the new censor features to be rolled out. People on Gab are having an absolute shit-fit right now and are tearing Loomer and Torba up, which is hilarious.

The main reason really is Torba courted the alt-rightish crowd to begin with, he acted like an absolute tard in marketing his website making it basically conservative, and then, based on the principle of the rats always jumping ship to the nearest island, neo-nazi website. Instead of being a neutral platform that just so happened to allow more content, he courted degenerates and dipshits and thus created a retarded community.

Exactly, although trolling people on that site is a lot fun. There's a reason Torba has his own thread on Kiwifarms. Every day he's doing something insane to attract attention and attempt to lure morons into his hugbox. He and Loomer represent a certain breed of grifter that has appeared since Trump won the election that's eager as hell to take money from paranoid right wing baby boomers. Don't worry though, I'm sure Laura is going to crack that Mandalay Bay shooting case wide open any day now.
