🐱 Twitter is dunking on "journalist" who thinks a character is ‘fat.’

Noelle Stevenson’s She-Ra and the Princess of Power is out now on Netflix, and men have a complaint about the series: It isn’t horny enough for them.

Gaming “journalist” William Usher is a long-time supporter of Gamergate and runs the website “One Angry Gamer.” Between ranting about “SJWs” and “fake news,”he cooked up an article called “Netflix’s She-Ra Turns Spinnerella Fat and Gives Her the Power to Break Wind.”

In the piece, Usher argues that Netflix is “adopting the Social Justice Warrior agenda” and “attempting to produce material designed to appease NPCs.” (NPC, aka nonplaying characters, is a common term used by the right-wing to dehumanize anyone that doesn’t agree with whatever nonsense conservatives are peddling this week.)

As the article goes on, Usher claims Spinnerella has “devolved” from “a beautiful, empowered, fit woman” to “an overweight purple-haired wind-breaker.” He goes on to stress that the show is “making the female characters as unappealing and unattractive as possible.” Because clearly, all of She-Ra’s characters are supposed to look as thirsty as possible for Usher, who obviously fits into the show’s demographic of young girls.

“For Spinnerella it means turning her into the kind of depiction you would likely find as a profile picture on Tumblr, and any little girl who wants to grow up to mimic a Tumblr profile picture should be put into therapy instantly, like right now,” Usher complains.

Yes, this is the greatest adolescent travesty of our time.

Twitter user pattsuans quickly clapped back with a headline of her own that cuts straight to Usher’s point: “Female Character’s Design On A Show For Little Girls Is Not Horny Enough For Me, An Adult Male.”

Meanwhile, many praised Spinnerella’s character for representing women with thicker and plus-sized bodies. For some young girls, she’s the first woman like her that they’ve ever seen in a children’s cartoon.

Others slammed Usher for being upset that a children’s cartoon doesn’t have wanking material.

Meanwhile, Usher is having a totally normal response in the replies. In a definitely-not-creepy move, he said kids “loved Hulk Hogan because of those tight, tanned muscles” and asked a Twitter user if she would rather “want to make love” and “have kids with” Hulk Hogan or Dusty Rhodes.

Alrighty then.

Apparently, he also wants to encourage his very real 13-year-old daughter to stay fit so she can marry rich.

It seems like Twitter has turned Usher into one angry gamer, indeed.

This isn’t the first time angry men on the internet have complained about She-Ra. When Stevenson’s reboot first premiered, critics complained about She-Ra’s new redesign, arguing that she looks too “boyish.” Women in animation were just as vocal against the backlash then, too.

“We promise the Care Bear reboot will have tons of boobs,” storyboard artist Kristen Gish quipped. “You’re welcome.”

You would think that the Tumblr people would get more mad at the fact that the fattest character on the roster would be regulated to a goddamn *farting* superpower (then again she's paired up with a woman who's power is just net-throwing....). Is Spinnerella constantly hungry in the show too????

As an appreciator of animation, the problem with shows like She-ra isn't that they're tainting a timeless original 20+ minute toy commercial, it is the aggressive way a lot of the new stuff is promoted these days and the mental associations people have with the art style of the show ("lol Tumblr").

The prejudice over aesthetics has turned out to be correct: some She-ra staff faved tweets attacking the Voltron reboot staff as bigoted "cishets" and are openly involved in the aggressively judgmental Tumblr culture that hovers around animation like a low-lying fog, all of that online nonsense.

Much like with the Thundercats reboot, the rather small group of people going on about how "marxist sjw feminism destroying the purity of the original!!!!!" are being pointed to as the ONLY critics. A lot of people criticizing the show don't seem to be big fans of the original She-ra, just tired of these recent trends in animation, including the "HEHEH, TIME TO TRIGGER THE CISHET BROS" attitudes that seem to inform a lot of the creative decisions.

Both sides are equally autistic, but the dunkers seem to want people to think the new She-Ra is sexy the way they get angry about it...?

It's all they know, how many times have we seen this exact pattern before -

1. Make something ugly
2. People get upset
3. Find the most ridiculous complainers and
4. Swear black and blue that they represent everyone complaining and that the ugly horseshit you are pushing is actually pretty.

Whether that ugly thing is a cartoon or a movie or a comic or a dude in a wig, the goal is at all times to make ugliness the default. Because they believe that everything is subjective, they assume that that is all that is necessary to shift public perception.

Why is it always women who do this? I haven’t seen men asking for short, fat, ugly, balding men to play the Expendables. Men are almost always represented by tall, muscular dudes with three testicles’ worth of testosterone. No one cares. In fact, many men use this as their motivation to be more like those men. How many dudes started lifting because of Schwarzenegger or Stallone? I haven’t seen women asking for a realistic representation of male characters either. It’s hypocrisy. You can’t enjoy hot female characters with unrealistic bodies but they are perfectly okay with making the theater smell like a clam processing plant and forcing the staff to hit the seats with blow dryers in-between each screening of Magic Mike.

Western Animation is fucking trash anyway. It's all ugly as shit. If you're going to watch cartoons at least watch Chinese cartoons that are made for adults, not for children and look x1000 times better.

It's a kids show, on top of that its fucking She-Ra. Who cares.

The feminist excuse for this is that the muscly dudes are a power fantasy for men, so it doesn't count. The people who say this seem to think that the only way to sexualise a man is to make him more like yaoi or something from the cover of The Simpsons' 'Unthreatening Boys' magazine.

Which means, yes, they're dismissing anyone who finds those men attractive because they're attractive in the wrong way, which is more evidence of how the SJWs are in fact attempting to control and mold things into their preferences, rather than just being for actual sexual liberation for women.

Even though I do think this show is trying to start a new Steven Universe-style fandom, both sides are equally retarded.

Though pandering to the Tumblr demographic is a good business strategy, if you look at any other Calarts-style show in recent memory.
