Bet he'd reply differently if Dmol were female.
That's the impression I have of him and there's an irony in that he wouldn't give someone like himself the time of day.

So, this guy who often offers Jake support when Jake's feeling shitty has tweeted that things are rough for him right now, and that supporting others helps to take his mind off it. Jake, as usual, completely ignores the poster and makes the whole thing about himself.
I know the guy offered to listen, but there's not even "I'm sorry you're having such a hard time" from Jake. He's so utterly selfish.

Andrea Long Chu has somewhat strange ideas of her own process of realizing her womanhood, where basically she has said that she liked the idea/fantasy of living as a woman, and ended up sounding a lot like that Ranma parody character from adult swim: https://nplusonemag.com/issue-30/essays/on-liking-women/While it’s a somewhat thoughtful piece it’s premise is hormones and surgery don’t cure gender dysphoria, it doesn’t stop the pain but none the less transition/surgery on demand! Mitigation of pain should not be the litmus test for approving treatment for gender dysphoria, nor should it be expected to make one happy
I transitioned for gossip and compliments, lipstick and mascara, for crying at the movies, for being someone’s girlfriend, for letting her pay the check or carry my bags, for the benevolent chauvinism of bank tellers and cable guys, for the telephonic intimacy of long-distance female friendship, for fixing my makeup in the bathroom flanked like Christ by a sinner on each side, for sex toys, for feeling hot, for getting hit on by butches, for that secret knowledge of which dykes to watch out for, for Daisy Dukes, bikini tops, and all the dresses, and, my god, for the breasts.
In any case, as far as it goes, she’s a fairly successful grad student in NYU and had some worthwhile things to say about Avital Ronnell. But all that said, she is someone who sounds like she decided she would simply enjoy living as a woman in the same way I have said I’d prefer living as the heir of wealthy parents. What’s notable is that her NYT essay is the first time she’s ever mentioned dysphoria. Previous to this she sounded pretty adamant that living as a woman was, for her, a social/political decision.
We need a thread on the NYT piece, there’s a lot of salt amongst the trannies especially blue checks. It completely destroys the narrative with a lot of truths.Trans Twitter is absolutely melting down over this NYT op-ed piece. Ironically, the article is critical of Jesse Singal, but that's not enough to dilute the tidal wave of venom the article has unleashed because a trans woman dared to be honest about her own experience.

And that right there is the perfect description of autogynephilia (as well as a sexist). Hollywood depictions of females aren't real (and neither are passing troons, mostly). I'm sure he'll enjoy his manboobs though.
Strange that that's not what our brave campaigner for feminism, Secret Gamer Girl, was offended by, though. The utterly ridiculous idea of femininity is a-okay, just don't suggest the fake vag is anything other than real.
It strikes me that that quote is exactly the sort of thing that Jake, as well as a whole lot of his Twitter pals, would write to explain their own so-called dysphoria. That right there's the rub - Chu is literally living the lifestyle that Jake whines constantly about, and he's outright saying that transitioning did not make him feel one bit better about his life, let alone turn him into this romanticized ideal of a woman. It completely destroys Jake's fantasy that if only one or two things were different in his life, he'd be a super successful, super sexy Girl On The Internet who could coast along doing whatever he felt like. Let alone all the other people out there who have decided they absolutely need! to transition because they feel like outcasts with no particular purpose in life. And that right there is the perfect description of autogynephilia (as well as a sexist). Is the tax threshold not like $12,000 a year so no chance he is close to that,
Self-employment taxes begin at $400 a year. Jake is (arguably) selling a service, and no payroll, social security, or any other tax is being taken out of that money. While his personal exemption will wipe out any income tax, there's still a tax on self-employment income. If he's making enough to get a 1099 from Patreon, he's probably going to at least have to file.
Just to expand a bit on Wallace's point, in the US, people are required to file a tax return even if no taxes are owed.
Like all troons, he sees womanhood as a shortcut to social gain.
Is there a single troon that's actually worked for?
No trans people who have actual success are these pathetic, ridiculous troons. Even the openly trans like Jenner and Laverne Johnson have some other reason they're successful than that they trooned out.
It seems like a great way to go from being an incompetent scrub that no one cares about to getting media attention for being a stunning and brave female indie game developer despite not producing anything and that's right up Jake's alley.
It seems like it, but is it actually? When has it actually worked? There are some famous trans people and have been for quite some time, but I can't think of a single one who was a completely untalented failure like Jake, trooned out, and suddenly became a success. I always think more of people like Wendy Carlos whose success predated their coming out.
It was released in 2014 and has 3 reviews on Metacritic but it felt like I bumped into news about that garbage all the time before that and the name Samantha Kalman was always front and center.
So you mean someone trooned out and it was a total failure?
That was kind of my point. Trooning out does not give you success. This has never worked.
