Some Beanies aren't as creepy. The newer ones with the big eyes are another story.

http://www.ghostofthedoll.co.uk/furby-mcdonalds.php Even McDonald's had a promotion of them. Wonder how they went.
Considering McDonalds went all out on the first promotion, probably a little too well. Later ones don't seem to be as popular though.

:offtopic:I do remember that Tiger promotion and got the fish and jellyfish toys.:offtopic:

As someone who likes collecting stuffed animals for fun:powerlevel: I can respect the idea of modding Furbies or repurposing them. What I can’t respect is acting like a child online about a toy and making an identity around it. Mod the toys, buy some on eBay, but don’t go into debt over it. It’s just toys.

At least the tag art is cute...

Some of the Happy Meal ones don't look bad. Like the Tama ones, they did different things and came in a variety of colours.

Great thread, OP. We needed a new, playful (relatively wholesome) thread with weirdos obsessing and misguided salt to lulz over after all this depressing zoosadist stuff.

Furby > Furry

Some of the mods are really cool, but the long/worm/snake/serpent furbies are hilarious abominations.

Here is a walk through of an impressive, furbtastic collection.

Because of the dark depths of the internet I’ve been to, have some crossover between the furry and furby fandoms! (That one letter difference makes all the difference!)

(I just found out that the first one I got in here was already uploaded, but fuck it. It’s going in the furbsuit category.)
Now those aren’t half bad considering how autistic the concept is, but there’s some craftsmanship in there so that they’ll still look cute to people on the autism spectrum. This last one, though, is a bit more like what sane people see Furbies as...

There was quite a lot in the various Discord servers prior to them kicking me out because I wasn't an SJW. As for the fringe sites like AdoptAFurby, they tend to stay drama free mostly because they're where the younger fans go.

According to Furby Confessions submitters, one particular server, The Furby Brotherhood, is currently under fire of mistreatment of its members by the mods, and there's another Discord run by a guy named funnyfurby that they're going after for "overpricing" Furbies that he sells.

"The Furby Brotherhood" just made me lose it again
For some reason I must have fallout on the mind, because when hearing the term “Furby Brotherhood” all I could think of was the Brotherhood of Steel in power armor decorated like Furbies.

Couldn’t agree more. As fascinating as horrific shit can be, you’ll go insane if you focus mostly on that. The best cows/communities are the ones that are funny because they’re so ridiculous. Case and point here.

Loving this thread so far, though the update to the OP could be a bit more digestible.
When I was a kid I got one of these little bastards for my birthday but I was never allowed to play with it. Imagine trying to explain with the vocabulary of a ten year old why voice recognition technology is not demons. :lit:

I had a Baby Furby when I was 10 or so. It would never shut up, even when I tried stashing it in the closet in a box. It'd wake up in the middle of the night and start talking :cryblood:
Eh, i had a toy electronic parrot that did this and it was long before furbies. In the middle of the night it started “talking” by making bizarre jumbled machine noises and moving its mouth. I woke up and took the batteries out of the bottom. It KEPT TALKING.

Only after my child-sized heart attack of fear did I realize it had a backup battery I didn’t know about.

Thank you for taking one (many) for the team... as often as you do.

I for one will be cherishing every moment of this thread between now and whenever people start posting pics of Furbies covered in shit.

I too am glad no one has found any furby degeneracy a la the plushophile thread (SO FAR... and that is NOT a challenge to anyone!) or worse... Never underestimate Rule 34, especially with the furries involved and all.

The sparkle dog-esque one I actually saw in passing (like half the shit I find to post here) and the other two are just there if you do a quick google search. If you want, I can actually take one for the team and see what’s on InkBunny. That’s where the worst of the worst go.
