WHY DID YOU MAKE ME LONG, GOD

WHY

I never had a furby. I found them weird and creepy. Especially after I heard the stories about how they'd randomly start talking even after you shut them off. Like they'd just randomly start babbling in the middle of the night. Nope.:O

Plus it would have ate into my vidya and CD money.

Asked my friend who's a furby fandom veteran for more info. Furbae:

-Has four Limited Edition Kid Cuisine furbies priced at $200 each, and is using one for 'sunfade' testing, meaning she's leaving it out purposely in the sun to fade it's fur.
-Buys/bids on almost every furby that appears on eBay, creating false scarcity and leaving an actual mark on the 'furby economy'.
-Posts about being in financial distress despite buying hundreds of dollars worth of furbies.
-Probably has a hoarding problem.

I don't have any evidence to submit to prove these claims, unfortunately, but I'm sure there's some around.

She's like those people that buy a new console and them smash it with a hammer or drop it off the roof just to be smug. You don't ruin vintage collector's toys for experimentation purposes unless you have issues.

I looked up the furbies in question and they are blue macaw colored with a big yellow and red mohawk thing down their back. So they are not going to be typical furbies and therefore aren't good for this purpose. Why not just use a plain standard furby that most people would have? Why not just ask fellow furbtards to post pics of their faded furbies? We all know that the sun fades colors and it's a bad idea to put collector's items in direct sunlight. This is a stupid test by a woman with issues.

2018 expectation: personal jetpacks and Moon colonies
2018 reality: people forming drama filled "communities" over now obscure toys

It's so disappointing. It really is.*sigh*

Why do these people take their furbies everywhere with them? Looking through the tags, I just notices a fuck ton of grown ass people whipping out their furbies in public places and taking photos with them. Unless your a rocking-back-and-forth breed of autist or a 9 year old I'm sure it's not socially acceptable.

For the sake of contribution, here's some trans furby stuff I found from digging around.
