So she asked to be freed?

Laura is a tard and the biggest fucking narcissist. Once she realized this publicity stunt/plan to get her unbanned from Twitter poorly disguised as some righteous protest against corruption and anti semitism failed, meaning there was nothing in it for her anymore, she gave up and went home.

Only lasted around 4 hours before giving up the charade. What a total failure and embarrassment.

The problem is it's Laura Loomer of all people protesting this. Laura Loomer is probably the least credible person you could pick for protesting anything. Her lack of credibility and fame mixed with the exceptional over the top manner of protesting backfired in her face hard, drowning out any point she could have made.

She's done more harm to her own cause than any SJW or clickbait journalist could dream of doing.

I remember when people talked about lowering the barriers to entry for publishing with shining eyes and bright hopes. Those were halycon days. We lowered 'em alright, we really did. While I agree with most of your assessment of the importance of twitter it's really not hard to see why Laur fucking Loomer has been banned.

Like, this isn't the hill for the "Twitter is the new marketplace of ideas like a town hall muh free speech" folks to die on.

It's funny because I looked closer at this and the main point she's making is a good one, in that people like Louis Farrakhan can basically say "kill whitey" and death to America and Jews on twitter and the company won't bat an eye while someone else can tweet at a blue checkmark how they disagree with sharia law or communism and expect to get banned pretty quickly. The twitter double standard.

The issue here though is the messenger that's taken up the cause, which is a lone, batshit attention whore handcuffed to a door, dressed in a combination of hobo and goth attire with a Jewish star patch while screaming through a megaphone about how twitter are nazis and are "literally" killing Jewish people like herself.

The reason she was banned, factually, is that she said Islam is anti-gay and that people who follow sharia support FGM. But I wasn't making any arguments regarding free speech or if she should be allowed back on Twitter, just that saying "lmao get over it" is a pretty unnuanced response to what happened to her.
