Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

George H. W. Bush passed away last night and today is AIDS day.

Here’s Lauren Jauregui using the death of millions from a deadly disease to bash Bush and Regan and pretty much the GOP and Trump because they didn’t do enough to find a cure, though you could also blame Clinton for that, but he’s a Democrat so he gets a pass.

What did they expect Regan/Bush 41 to do with the AIDS virus?
As someone pointed out, the reason the book is titled 'And The Band Played On' had nothing to do with the Reagan Administration, and everything to do with how the gay community refused to keep it in their pants.

But don't bring that up, because that's homophobic.

There's this strange thing where the left tends to act as if Republican Presidents are superpowered, and the only reason they aren't simply snapping their fingers and solving any given crisis is just because they're pure evil and want to watch people suffer. So we need to elect a Democrat who will then snap their fingers and solve the problem! Of course once the Democrat is in it's like "What superpowers? What are you talking about? There's not even really a problem." It's this very strange twist on an inferiority/superiority complex.

Saying that Reagan and Bush "failed" to act against AIDs has been a stock Leftist criticism for a long time now.
While there could have been some actions taken by them realistically once the virus really took off there wasn't much the government could do.
Its just a sad fact of human nature. Some people will be irresponsible and careless no matter what actions the authorities take and things like AIDs are the sad result of that.

It's just your classic doublethink. Republicans are evil, so everything they do or don't do is evil. Democrats are good, so everything they do or don't do is good. There's no underlying principle beyond that.

Yep. In 1985 alone, Congress allocated $190 million to HIV/AIDS research. Funding started in 1983, I believe, a mere two years after the first 100-person outbreak. Bathhouses were shut down in major cities like San Francisco and NYC, so everyone knew how and why the disease was spreading. Wtf else was Reagan supposed to do, knock on each and every homo's door and remind them to stop fucking anonymous men without protection (actually he basically did that by advocating for abstinence and was brutally criticized for it, lol)? It seems like there is no accountability in the gay community.

I know that this originally comes from some sort of anti-Trump movie before this guy got ahold of it, but like... How exactly is this supposed to portray the President in a negative light? This is fucking amazing, I'd vote for anyone who used something like this as a campaign video.
